Thanks Kershnee - again! I've managed to sort out the static box with your help. The text probably needs altering but at least I now know how to do it.

When I have a problem with technology I'm always prepared to believe it is my fault. I do appreciate having the Yola team to help!

    Making the Comments feature live
I've just worked through the Disqus feature, posting the generic code in the dialogue box. I then went back to my own blog page and expected to find the Comments feature there. It isn't. What have I done wrong? My blog is www.thecareerarenablog.com

    Static Box
I've just set up my blog and am very pleased with the way it has panned out – www.thecareerarenablog.com. Although it is “live” I've not yet started to promote it but am hoping to do so shortly.

However, before I do there are a couple of improvements needed with which I am stuck so I'm hoping someone can rescue me. The first is that from a marketing point of view it makes sense to have some details of my “offer” with links to my website and 'Contact Me' displayed just under the banner on the front page. So is it possible to incorporate a “box” at the top of the posts on the home page that is static ie doesn't get pushed down when a new post is made? If so, how?

    Problem solved!
    Hello Marije

If you remember you sent me an e-mail about a post I made concerning a problem I was having with registering my blog with its own domain explaining there was a bug in the system as far as UK post codes were concerned. I've just had another go and this time have managed to register the domain name. I'm not sure whether Yola staff have sorted out the bug or whether I completed the form in a slightly different way. I do, in fact, have a slight problem with my address as I live in a village situated in one UK county that has a post code in another. Last time I tried to fill the registration form I may have put the full name of the post code county - Leicestershire. This time I shortened it to Leics so that may have helped.

Anyway, thanks for responding and, if the Yola staff have indeed sorted the bug out, thanks to them too.

    Post code problems
i've been busy setting up the basics of my blog and have gone "live" on a temporary basis via the synthasite web address. However, I'm now trying to register my own domain name for it. Everything seems to go well with the registration form until I try to enter my UK post code. I then get an error message - for some reason my post code doesn't seem to be acceptable. Help!
