Emmy replied on November 20, 2009 18:36 to the question "How do a website's new page get number 1 in google within minutes of adding that new page?" in Yola:
Hi Donald,
I just did some searching for information on how page rank is determined and there is a soooo much information out there on how this works, it might just take some reading up on how this is measured and how to increase your own page rank. I would however definitely say that linking to, and being linked to, from higher PR sites is better than lower PR sites.
As always, the more good things you do for your site in the area of link building, content adding, and optimizing the content so the search engines are aware of the topic is the best way to move forward with SEO and increase your PR in the process.

A comment on the question "How do I get my new site up with Godaddy, yet without DNS control?" in Yola:
Hello Maria,
I'm sorry, I am not sure why you do not have domain name management from GoDaddy if that is where you purchased your domain, I have not come across this situation before. Just so I am clear, you purchased your domain name from GoDaddy, but you are not able to edit your domain settings? There is a difference between where your domain is hosted and where your site is hosted. You have a domain name from GoDaddy, but being that Yola is where you have your website, we will be your website host, not GoDaddy.
I do understand that this can be confusing; if you would like you can email me at support@yola.com and I can assist you further in this matter and take a look at your settings in GoDaddy. You can mark your email to support Attn: Emmy and I will pick it up.

Yes, email requires domain name management which is what GoDaddy provides you with. So if you have set up email with Google Apps in your GoDaddy account this will still work. – Emmy, on November 20, 2009 00:49

Hello Maria,
To utilize a domain name you have purchased at GoDaddy for your website built with Yola you will first need to configure the A Record to point towards our ip address; you can do this in your domain manager at GoDaddy.
We have a tutorial which will step you through the process of doing this with GoDaddy: Publishing your site on your own domain.
If your email is all ready set up through GoDaddy that is just fine, it can stay that way. When you point your domain to Yola by editing the A Records, we are just your host, GoDaddy will still provide your email service.
Hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions.

Hello Stewart,
Here is the code that will do what you are wanting to do. You will need to replace filename.jpg with the name of your file that you want to be the Back button, and you can remove the <!-- at the beginning and the --> at the end.
<!--
<INPUT TYPE="image" src="resources/filenam.jpg" VALUE="Back" onClick="history.go(-1);">
-->
Hope this helps!

Hello ai,
Marije is currently offline so I can assist you. Just so I am sure, you are referring to the RSS Widget that is on a blog page correct? Can you tell me your url so that I can take a look at this and see how it functions; I will then be able to provide more information!
Thanks,

Hi Randy,
I think the sub pages functionality that you have implemented is wonderful and super intuitive. If we ever need a site that demonstrates the making of sub pages and how this can be useful when building a site, this would be a great site to showcase! Awesome work, keep it up!
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hello Jessica,
That's a really great feature idea that we haven't heard of before. Can you tell us more about how you would like this to work on your site or point us to other websites that currently have a feature like this available. This will help us to create a feature request that we can pass onto our developers.
Kind Regards,
Emmy
Emmy replied on November 19, 2009 00:17 to the question "Disqcus_ting 3rd time asking" in Yola:
Hello William,
I am extremely sorry you are feeling unhappy with the response time. As you pointed out your question does regard a third party application that we do not have as much information on and will perhaps need help from Disqus to find the correct response.
I am looking into this and testing Disqus on a test blog to see what the issue is you are speaking of. This does take time, and the answer is not as readily available to us as questions that pertain directly to the Yola Site Builder.
Whether you are a Yola user who uses Yola Free or Yola Premium, the support you receive is not based on this. All the more reason why there is no need to create multiple threads as doing so slows down our ability to help you and other users.
One of the benefits of posting to the Yola forum is that you do not have to depend solely on Yola staff as there are many members here in the forum who volunteer their support and expertise.
We really do appreciate your patience while we look into this matter further.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Emmy replied on November 18, 2009 21:29 to the idea "Creating master pages" in Yola:
Hi Randy,
Thanks so much for the idea, that would be a great feature to have. You can use the "Save Page As" feature which will allow you make a duplicate copy of the page you are on, or you could create a master page and use this function whenever you create a new page. To do this, click the down arrow of the "Save" button and click "Save Page As".
Unfortunately, it isn't possible at this time to make a change to a master page and have that change reflect on all the other pages, but that would be nice! I will put this forth to our team as a feature request.
Thanks,
Emmy

Hello timofeyi.asyrkin,
I'm sorry you are having this problem and would like to help get it worked out. Can you please do a few things for me and then give it another try uploading the file to your File Manager:
1. Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: Clear your browser's cache.
2. Check your privacy settings. You must accept cookies from Yola. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.
3. Please check to see that you have the latest version of Flash installed, for more information please click here: Version Test for Adobe Flash Player.
4. Try loading the site in a different browser (eg. Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). We would suggest using the Firefox browser as this browser seems to work best in the Yola environment. It is a free download if you would like to give it a try: Download Firefox.
Please let me know if after trying these suggestions you are still having any trouble.
Kind Regards,
Emmy
A comment on the question "Alertpay verification" in Yola:
Hello smillajasperson,
Unfortunately it is not possible to upload a file into the root directory of your site. What I would suggest is that you submit a support request to them and ask if there is another option available, they may have another way to verify. If you would like to show us the answer they give you we can let you know if their other options are possible.

Emmy replied on November 17, 2009 17:20 to the problem ""Verification failed. Your meta tag is incorrect."" in Yola:
Great thread guys! I was glad to hear you were all able to get your sites re-verified and everything is back in order. Yes, it looks like Google did change their meta tag so it needed to be regenerated and the new one put into your site.
Boomer, I'm sorry you had to go through all of your pages to remove it, must have taken some time.
