Marije replied on November 20, 2009 10:12 to the question "Adding an Amazon widget for mp3's?" in Yola:
Hi Kimberley,
The Amazon code should be able to be added to your site without any problems. Would you be able to post the code here so that we can take a look? Remember to copy and paste it all - if you leave off a section, it will cause problems.
When pasting your code here, please wrap it in <!-- and --> (eg. <!-- HTML code -->)
Could you also post your site's URL?

Glad to hear it! We have a great tutorial that explains images a bit more: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/.... Sometimes it's better to edit the image size on your PC before uploading it to Yola and different image dimensions and pixel-size specifications can result in a different quality pic. – Marije, on November 19, 2009 17:06

Hi mkbi28,
Are your goods digital? If so, you can integrate with Payloadz: http://cs.yola.com/index.php?pg=kb.pa...
What other payment option do you want to use? Can you give us more detail so that we can look for more information?
A comment on the problem "My Index page wont load at all! Help please!" in Yola:
Hi Sister,
The picture on your homepage is not too big and it downloads relatively fast. It may help to reduce a little more and you can do this by editing your picture in Picnik:
1. Click on the "File Manager" button, select the image you would like to edit and click on the "Edit" button in the dialogue box of the File Manager.
2. You will be taken through to the Picnik website, it may take a while to load (it's worth the wait!)
3. Once Picnik's open, adjust your image to your liking.
4. When you've finished editing your picture in Picnik, click on "OK" so that the change takes effect and then click on the yellow "Save to Yola" button on the top right.
5. Your newly edited picture will replace the picture you originally uploaded.
I'm not sure what you mean by a workaround for getting into the site builder? The only way to edit your site is to login through www.yola.com... – Marije, on November 19, 2009 15:37

Hi there,
Are you perhaps using Google Chrome as your browser? Please note that Chrome is not currently one of our supported browsers (http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...). We hope to add support for Chrome in future. Could you try to update your site from Firefox (recommended), Internet Explorer or Safari.
You could also try updating Chrome to the latest version as some users report that they are able to publish successfully from the latest version.
If this does not solve your problem, or if you are not using Chrome, please let us know what your website address is so that we can take a look.

Hi Ernst,
There are quite a few banner making programs on the Internet if you would like to create your own. I have used a few programs which worked quite nicely if you would like to give them a try: Banner Fans (http://www.bannerfans.com/banner_make...) and Banner Maker Pro (http://www.bannermakerpro.com/downloa...), (this is not a free program, but they do have a free trial available).

Marije posted an update in Yola on November 18, 2009 12:01:
Changes when creating a new site or choosing a styleIn our latest release (11/18/2009) we've changed the flow to creating a new site whether you're an existing customer of Yola or a new one!
Now you will be able to choose an address when you name your site, choose the style you would like to use and then get you to the important part of building your site right away. If you don't want to choose an address, you can always choose it later by clicking on the "Publish my Site" button in the site builder when you're ready.
Our style selector has also changed slightly to make it easier for you to find the style that suits your needs. Remember that we have a handy style guide available: http://www.yola.com/yola-style-guide. A handy tip in finding the style in the style selector: use ctrl-f in your browser and type in the style name to search for it.
Happy website building!

Marije replied on November 17, 2009 12:43 to the question "Concerns regarding Yola" in Yola:
Hi Randy,
Thank you for your feedback, great to hear that you're finding Yola a good tool to use!
To answer your first question, please take a look at these posts:
http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/wha...
http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/sec...
Although the threads are a little old, the same information applies. A good way to view our downtime threads is to check the company updates: http://forum.yola.com/yola/updates/re.... We always post an update whenever any trouble is experienced. You'll see that the majority of the updates are for new feature releases or scheduled maintenance.
With regard to your second question about versioning. We don't currently have a system in place where you can have a 'backup' of a previous version of your site. This is something we're aware people would like to have but unfortunately we can't give you a date when it will be available. A workaround would be to save the old version of your page by clicking on the down-arrow next to the Save button (make sure it's not included in the menu). Not an ideal workaround, but perhaps an option.
It's posts like yours that make us more aware of what our Yola customers would like to see released, so thank you for posting! Happy site building!
