A comment on the question "Need feedback" in Yola:
I will let you in on a secret. I carry around a "top 3" list of features that I talk to the Product team about every chance I get. This list is based on user feedback and needs. An easy way to organize pages and build menus and submenus is on my top 3! Which means I agree with you and rank this one very highly above a very very long list of feature requests. I understand why it has not been developed yet, but I think we all agree that it is needed! – Monique, on November 20, 2009 07:14

Hi Ian.Gledhill
I am sorry to hear that you are confused. There are thousands of customers who use this forum who have successful free sites with Yola. I am sure some of them will share their experience with you.
We would really love to help you get your site up and running. Can you tell us exactly what you have tried so far and what has not been working for you? I know you said "nothing works". That may well be true, but can you give me somewhere to start helping you? If we could take one issue at a time I am sure we could make rapid progress.
A comment on the question "Which service is best: Yola, Weebly, Homestead or?" in Yola:
There was a recent change in this regard. When we launched our Pro package a few months ago, a limit was introduced on free accounts. However, users who already had more than 5 sites and more than 5GIG of stored data were allowed to keep this. I realize that this thread can be a bit confusing if you are new to Yola as the discussion predates the release of the Yola Pro package. – Monique, on November 19, 2009 11:56
Monique replied on November 19, 2009 09:46 to the question "Disqcus_ting 3rd time asking" in Yola:
For future reference I would like to say that we commit to a 24 hour response time to all questions but answer quicker if at all humanly possible.
@William: If you received an answer within three hours, then it was well under our service level agreement. Because we answer really fast some of the time, it would be very unfortunate if people came to expect instant answers all of the time and the tone of this forum became loud, aggressive and demanding if responses were not always instant. I don't think anyone would like to see this happen here.
A comment on the update "Yola Planned Downtime" in Yola:
Should be quite short, but you know how nervous we are to make promises we might have to break ;) – Monique, on November 18, 2009 08:46
Monique replied on November 18, 2009 06:28 to the idea "Adding a section to the community forum" in Yola:
Hi Randy
That would be very helpful. However, please note that Get Satisfaction is a third party service that we use for our forum and they serve a large variety of companies. So while "Coding Question" would be a very useful topic type for us, it would probably not translate well to many of the other companies who use this software.
Maybe the feature request should be the ability for a company to add custom topic types? If you ever want to make a suggestion for a Get Satisfaction feature, head over to: http://getsatisfaction.com/getsatisfa.... Get Satisfaction has a fabulous team and I am sure they would be happy to hear from you.
In the mean time tags are an extremely useful way of collecting similar topics together, and I see you made use of them when you posted this idea. Check this out: http://forum.yola.com/yola/tags/coding
That is the URL for all topics tagged "coding".
Monique replied on November 17, 2009 18:18 to the problem ""Verification failed. Your meta tag is incorrect."" in Yola:
Note: The metatag is for verification purposes only and Google only "looks" at your index page to find this tag. So even if you had the wrong code on the other pages it would not matter. It is only for tracking code (such as Google Analytics) that you need to ensure that it is implemented correctly on each page.
I am glad that everything is in working order for you, but I just wanted to clarify this point for the record.
Monique replied on November 17, 2009 17:22 to the question "MasterCard SecureCode credit card" in Yola:
I got an answer for you on this.
Yola adheres to PCI compliance for all credit card transactions. However, we don't currently support MasterCard Secure Code on straight credit card transactions.
If you wanted to use a Secure Code you could pay through PayPal instead, and you will be prompted for your code when you make your payment. However, you will need to have a PayPal account. You can create one for free if you don't have one already.
Thanks for the question. I have learned something, and I have asked our developers to look into supporting MasterCard Secure Code on credit card purchases in future.

Thanks. I will make inquiries about this and get back to you. – Monique, on November 17, 2009 16:40
Monique replied on November 17, 2009 16:25 to the question "MasterCard SecureCode credit card" in Yola:
Hi dukemailula
This is a good question. Just to clarify are you asking if you can pay for Yola items using MaterCard SecureCode or are you wanting to implement this on your own site for others to pay you?
Either way I am going to have to talk to an engineer and get back to you, but I just wanted to be sure I fully understood your question.

Monique replied on November 16, 2009 09:37 to the question "Now I can't save work!" in Yola:
I could not replicate and we don't have any other complaints at this time about the inability to save.
I was going to offer to test your site from my side, but I see you already got it to work from a different network.
It really sounds like a connectivity issue. Not sure what else to suggest - sorry!
Monique replied on November 16, 2009 05:34 to the question "Yola's web site" in Yola:
Hi Randy
No it is not. We discussed this possibility but there are technical reasons why it would not be a good idea. For the stability of our systems our website should not be as independent as possible from our other services. In the unlikely event that our hosted sites go down (which we of course strive to prevent from ever happening) people should still be able to access Yola.com for information on what is happening.
This isn't the only reason, but it is the one that is the most understandable to me. The other reasons are a bit techie :)
A comment on the question "linking yola to a site on hostmonster" in Yola:
Couldn't agree more about the need for us to implement an easy to use solution. Creating a custom drop down menu with HTML is very challenging and way too complex for our target audience. I promise you this feature request is very high on our to do list, but other priorities always seem to get ahead of it :( Hope we can deliver on this one soon! – Monique, on November 15, 2009 13:51

I can see part of the graphic for the Yola Link but it appears broken on your screenshot. Remind me what operating system you are on? – Monique, on November 15, 2009 13:39

I still see the Yola link on your site. See attached:

I am not sure why you are not seeing it on your end, but we realize that you haven't deliberately removed it so I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Can you take a screenshot of a page on your site without the Yola link? You said it was on all pages, so I just captured your homepage, where the link appears.
