Neil set one of Neil's replies as an official response to "Quicker Update?" in Yola
Neil replied on August 19, 2009 09:16 to the question "Quicker Update?" in Yola:
Hey John,
Thanks for noticing! About two days ago we put live an improvement to the publishing process. This improvement means that we can publish most sites, no matter the size, in the same short amount of time.
This also brings an improvement for site visitors. All sites should be slightly faster to browse, but sites published since Monday are even faster to browse.
We were just waiting to see whether the changes were having the effect intended before announcing it. So far, everything looks very positive.

Hi all,
We use a service that monitors the time it takes to open a site in the Site Builder from various locations in the world - New York, San Francisco, London, and others. This is a full from-scratch visit to the site - all the same things your browser does when you load up your site.
We have noticed an increase in time taken to load a site in the past couple of day from some of these locations, but not from all of them. We're currently attributing this to general Internet connectivity, as there is not an increase in all of them.
If it helps, we also keep track of how much traffic we use, and we're doing about our usual amount, so we don't think we are experiencing any bottlenecks at the moment.
It does seem that a noticeable amount of our users are experiencing problems though, so we'll keep looking into this to see what we can do to improve things.

Hi Bianca,
It looks like there was a configuration problem when you bought the domain - none of your sites are currently set up to be published on that domain. But you do own the domain and it is now configured correctly - except for none of the sites using it.
To fix this, when you choose to publish a site, you should have the option to use a domain name that you already own, and you can put your domain there, and the site will be published on that domain.
By the way, the PayPal transaction is marked as "Pending" because we verify that everything went okay before taking payment.

Are you trying to transfer a domain name that you have bought through SynthaSite to another registrar?
If so, please log into SynthaSite and load up the site that you used while registering the domain. From there, click on "Help" in the top right corner, and then choose "Contact support" from the menu.
This will give us the information we need to help you, as well as provide a private channel to send you what you need to initiate the transfer.
