Promote Your Website

We just released a new and improved way for you to easily promote your website.

You can use your existing contact lists on web-based email services and social networks to announce your site to your friends, family, colleagues and customers. It works with Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, LinkedIn, Facebook and many more. You can use our pre-written message or create your own.

You'll see this feature after you publish or update your site in the post-publication dialogue box. I've highlighted it with a red box in the screen grab below.

New Customizable Styles

We're excited to release 4 new customizable Styles.

These styles are designed to give you increased flexibility in how you design your site. Each of the 4 Styles has 8 color palettes, giving you 32 new options to build on. In addition, you can change both the background image and the header banner to customize things even more.

To change the background image, click on the Properties sidebar and scroll down until you see the option to browse for a background image. To change the header banner, click on the banner and add a new image with the correct dimensions from your file manager. You can use Picnik to resize and crop your images to the correct dimensions.

You'll find these new Styles in the Style selector. They're called CleanSlate, BareNecessities, NoFrills and SqueakyClean. I've highlighted them with red squares in the screen grab below.

Thanks for the healthy discussion on this thread.

To build on Monique's post, we will be launching several new styles by the end of November. These styles will be fairly simple with a wide variety of color palettes and should be applicable to a wide range of uses particularly professional ones.

I hope these new styles will address some of your concerns. In addition, we are continuing to work on providing more style options and customization.

Thanks for the feedback and keep letting us know what we're doing well and what we need to improve.

If you're trying to log into SynthaSite to update your site, you'll see that we're down right now. We're digging into the issue and hope to be back up shortly. We'll give you an update when we know more.

Any sites that you have already published are still up and your site visitors will be able to see them.
