I setup a site to try and get a poll going for my coffee mug I'm selling, feel free to look check it out and participate in the poll. I'm using a poll through polldaddy.com and it fits in great with my very minimalist setup. I had a domain name through godaddy so I used the tutorial on this site to setup domain forwarding. My google webmaster tools is setup as well as analytics - now all I need is traffic. Its a fun concept please share it with others, thanks.

Hi All! I haven't around for a while, but I'm back now. Wanted to find out if everyone's firefox browser previews in a new window instead of new tab? I have checked my settings to open links in new TABS, and restarted firefox, but still no change.

I went to the Websitegrader site and realize that the blog for (Vinny Lingham) that I have in my blog roll is being picked up by the website grader as mine. So I don't think thats a trued indication of my rank. What do you think? – Tiggs, on March 11, 2009 17:21

I'd like to know why I can't create a duplicate blog page by clicking "save as"? This feature only works in the webpage template.

Well I submitted my site to webmaster tools on March 4th. Right now for the search term
synthetic elements (which is a broad search ) I'm showing up on page 9 of the search results. I'm excited just to be indexed, now I have to get myself on that page 1.

ShaQ! I have my two cents to put in. I think that you have put the most effort into displaying ads. You mention that it costs a lot of money to update and maintain your site, when it really doesn't. I think the traffic and the "money" will come once you've created "value" for your audience. You can see from my blog, that I'm putting a lot time and effort into providing a valuable resource but there isn't a single google ad on there yet, because I don't have that many visitors yet. Right now I'm building what I call equity. The more equity I have in my site, the more I can capitalize on it i.e ads. I would say find and publish content, like Peter has suggested and then present it in a way that makes users want to hang around. Then you can worry about making money.

I've posted some gradient backgrounds for those that can't create their own. I only did a few variations of green, but if you would like colors that match your needs, just leave your request at my blog.
