I agree, something yola should do in these forums. When you view a site from a thread it might have several pages to look at and then it is a pain back tracking to get back to yola. – Woolyback, on October 11, 2009 19:35

Sorry I clicked the 'youcanneverbetosmart' link not the sitebuilder link.
The sitebuilder one was OK, looking an awesome site! – Woolyback, on October 11, 2009 19:29

I just tried it in Firefox and it was OK, can someone else try it in Internet Explorer. – Woolyback, on October 11, 2009 19:14

Hi Folks
I have just spent over 5 hours researching the internet on free and paid for web design and hosting packages, and I haven't found one that offers better overall features or price than yola free or yola plus.
So if you decide that yola is ripping you off and you go somewhere else please inform me which planet you are on.
I will not mention the names of the websites that offer similer services to yola but I have checked out at least 20 of the most popular ones, and through this research I can see that yola has also done it's homework to stay one step infront of the opposition, by offering the best free and paidfor features.

Hi Duke
Sorry for the delay in answering your questions; I've just got back from stormy Spain.
Yes this is my website and at the moment I pay for a multi site package from bpweb.net.
I appreciate your comments about good SEO and will look into this aspect shortly.
It would be nice to see my site top of the list if someone typed just 'polio'.

Hi Folks
I've just got back from a week in Sunny, sorry, STORMY Spain and find that things at yola are just has stormy. Free site limits and paid for hosting have certainly stirred up things.
At the moment I pay over 20 GBP per month for hosting my websites and only get 1.5GB web space to accomodate them, plus a 5GB bandwidth restriction.
I would willingly pay yola's pro fees, but can they guarantee a 99.9% uptime like my current hosting provider?

Hi guys
Why wait for all these things to appear in yola, when there is a website development program already out there you can use.
Oh I forgot............it costs................US$399
We seem to forget that yola is free and I for one am grateful for as much as we already have. Some of the sites developed with yola are fantastic and if you are just learning this forum is worth it's weight in gold.
Just one thing we could do with though!
But it can wait for another day.

I don't see what all the fuss is about.
The best way to get your site up the rankings is to sit down and say to yourself, 'If I was looking for my site what words would I put in the search box'.
Then armed with this list put them into the text content on as many pages as you can, and also the 'keywords' in the meta tag heading thingy.
Believe me this works. I have a site about a polio group in Manchester in the UK, very little traffic, a few links, I have not asked google to validate it but type 'polio manchester' in google and see where I am.
Gone on then I'll tell you............................number 1.

Hi Steve
I asked the same thing because I have a site that a customer alters every month with 'contribute', but it appears that yola at the moment has nothing like that, although it is on the 'to do list'. The only way round it at present is to open another account in yola and when developed give them complete access to the site. This of course means full access which I know you don't want to do. I think we will just have to wait and keep asking yola to develop something, I'm sure there are others who would use this facility and like you I would be prepared to pay a fee for it..

Hi Lee
Thanks for your comments, I have changed it slightly but I can see that although it works fine for a banner, you need something that will give your logo a distinct identification, such as the one in Ed-a-Torials.
Not giving up yet, although I will be away from my computer for the next week, it will give me time to think.
no problem with Boomer adapting my banner idea.
