Google webmaster tools i can't verify my site, why not? or how do i get around this?

Unfortunately, verifying your site using html file on google tools need to upload a file to the root directory of your site which is not allowed on synthasite at this time,

Inappropriate?what i did was add a meta tag - and pasted the text between the speach things into the google webmaster code field on the properties of the home page. So in this example content="SWcmUrayxFa48R2fzEv5AzNOOobDTGM/vzV43ypzSlo=" i used this text: SWcmUrayxFa48R2fzEv5AzNOOobDTGM/vzV43ypzSlo=
Thats the only way i could get it to work. (and remember to update the site before you verify)
