Inappropriate?Hi Destiny,
For a simple comments feature on your site, you can add this code from js-kit.com - http://js-kit.com/comments/ :
<div class="js-kit-comments" permalink=""></div>
<script src="http://js-kit.com/comments.js"></script>
1. Drag and drop an HTML widget onto your page.
2. Paste the two lines of code into the HTML editor that opens and click on "OK".
3. The comments will be tracked automatically by js-kit and be tied to that page's URL - if you add it to other pages, those pages will have their own set of comments. When you create the page, js-kit will know that you're the owner - only you will have the ability to moderate posts.
You will then have a place where people can leave comments. -
i tried this but the comments do not stay on the page. wheneverer i leave the page and come back the comments are gone. is there something that i am doing wrong? is there another way? -
Inappropriate?I too have been using JS-Kit. http://js-kit.com/comments/custom.html
This thing is very customizable and offers more than just comments.
It also has a 5 star rating and thumb up or down scoring system if you choose to use them. A navigator system with built in whats hot, top score top rated, polling system, and recent comments block that goes on your front page.
Certain things act funny in the way they might make you feel insecure about using it, but it's only because if your the admin, you see what all it can do, visitors cannot.
To help explain this, if you use firefox, goto tools and clear private data after youve been using this and set it up in it's basic form, then revisit your page. Be sure to download their admin guide.
I don't have enough things scored or rated yet, but you can see the navigator block on my home page and the comments block under Visitor Submissions. Still adjusting color schemes though.

Inappropriate?are you looking fora comment that is not linked to any thing but your own site so that the only comments that you see are the ones the visitor of your site make? because that is what i am trying to desperately do. Have you found a way yet?
I’m frustrated
-
Hi Justin - have you tried the comment feature from JS-Kit? If you follow Kershnee's steps you'll have a great comment box added to your site. Let us know if you need any other help. -
i have the comment option but when i leave the page and come back the comments that i leave are no longer visible. is there something that i am doing wrong? -
Hi Justin,
Can you post the url to the page with the comment feature so we can take a look. Thanks!
Emmy -
Inappropriate?Be sure you are looking at the comment box on the published page to view the comments, for some reason it does not work on the preview page properly.
The direct link without the homepage is here http://homeandhobbyhelpfulls.synthasi...
I have little knowledge of this type of programming, so it took me a few days of tweaking and learning how to set it the way I want it through their administration page. be sure to be the first to post then click on their site to goto the administartion page or search their faq section.
Any other questions I can help with just leave a reply.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Yes, mred1220 is correct. Justin, please try your comments widget on your live site to see if it is functioning properly.
