Domain Renewal HELP!
I just got an email that I have to renew my domain but, about a month or two ago, I got something in the mail from the Domain Renewal Group, and I sent them money to renew my domain for 5 years. So whats going on?

Inappropriate?Well I made the website when Yola was Synthsite and then the Domain Renewal Group mailed me a letter and then I paid them and then I got an email. So I think Yola/Synthasite? -

I am sorry, but you seem to have been the victim of a scam. There is no such body as the "Domain Renewal Group" - Yola domains are renewed through Yola, and not through any other third party.
Yola will only take payment for you on our website, with an image that says it's a secure transaction - we will never email you asking you to transfer money to us and would not ask for payments via the postal service. Please ignore any payment requests you may receive in this manner.

It is the same logo on the website as it was the same on the letter. -

"Domain Renewal Group" send unsolicited (spam) mail to persuade people to transfer their domains to them. If you don't want to do this, please ignore the email. Any renewal notices will come directly from us and not from another domain registrar.
If you have given Domain Renewal Group money, have you transferred your domain to them too? If not, you should try to get your money back from them.
If you would like to avoid these types of scams, you can purchase domain privacy so that your details are not publicly available on WHOIS. The cost is US$9.95 per year and you can send an email to support@yola.com if you would like to get that done.

I am really sorry that this happened to you. However, if you received a renewal email from us this means that your domain is still registered through us. Unfortunately we cannot assist you in recovering the money you paid to the "Domain Renewal Group" but we can help you renew your domain through us. If you want us to double check that you still own the domain, please tell us what it is so we can look it up for you. -
