Dynamic content and user Authentication
Guys, user authentication would be such a huge help, is this a development in the near future. Also I would like to know if Yola offers any means of running dynamic content - user profiles and databases etc..

Inappropriate?HI alex!
what do you mean by your first question ? -
Inappropriate?Basically, the site I want to develop requires user authentication capabilities and as far as I know, unless you can run dynamic content (php), e.g usernames, passwords, saving user profile information etc, this cannot be done.
I thus would like to know if Yola is looking to include allowing users to include custom made forms, enabling authentication tools etc, common to php. -
well Yola will not alllow .PHP on the site builder because it makes their servers an easy target to website hackgers or somthing like that.
you can uses custom made forms but individual logins can not be achieved unless you make 1 site for eacy user (that is very in practical)
hop i could help
got a question? Just Say!

Inappropriate? This is unfortunate because I don't quite have the programming capabilities to design the entire site from scratch but the whole idea behind my site requires authentication and form data linked to a mineable database.
It looks like I'll have to go the private web developer route although I've attempted to avoid this route at all costs, due to the radiculously high costs involved.
Any other recommendations? -
Hi Alex,
I think Wordpress would be a better choice for you, though you would have to have a certain amount of knowledge of PHP, CSS and mySQL. If your up for learning and taking the time (not just a few weeks job) it's what you want. -
Inappropriate?Cool thanks a lot, will definately give it a try, it looks exactly like what I'm looking for...

Inappropriate? Thanks for your help on this thread Alex :)
Alex - this is a feature we don't have yet, and something we're planning to work on in the future. Thank you for asking!
