Emmy Caught on Camera at the Web 2.0 Expo!
One of our super-duper Yola support ROCK STARS, Emmy, recently attended the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco. While she was there she had the opportunity to do a demonstration of the Yola site builder.
I am sure you would love to see her in action as she puts the site builder through it's paces.

Inappropriate?tee hee
its a good impretion of yola! -
Inappropriate?Well done emmy, you did yourself and yola proud - the only thing i noiced was early on in the video you said you would have to apply the changes you made to every page, i was almost screaming at my laptop "SAVE AS - mention save as", apart from that it was excellent, very well spoken throughout.
P.S. Why does it say under the video NO HTML at Yola??
-
I also noticed that. I think it is a misunderstanding. Sent a tweet to try to clear it up. -
think that means no knowledge of html required -
But could you not just copy & paste the code from your old .html to yola in seconds? -
Inappropriate?Hey all! Thanks for your positive feedback.
Yes, Save As... should have said that! I am sure what he meant by no html was the fact that you cannot upload .html files into the site builder such as if you had a previously built site, but yes, the wording is a bit misleading.
The Web 2.0 Conference was absolutely amazing... I loved it! I spent an entire day demoing the site builder for people who stopped by the booth (our booth was awesome!), and since I have been a huge fan of the Yola site builder since I first laid eyes on it, I was proud and excited to be able to do it.

Inappropriate?Great work Emmy.
Although I never knew yola sold domain names for $19.95 a year. Wasn't it 14 something before, or is that just me? -
Hi TheNextKira,
We recently changed our domain price to $19.95/year to account for an increase in the prices charged to us and to take into account the features we're adding for custom domains. We've also added the ability to register domains for up to 10 years, and you can save 20% off of the yearly price if you do so. -
Inappropriate?Awesome job Emmy! You looked so confident too!!

Inappropriate?Goo Emmy..
ON a website + Youtube that makes you famous on the internet....
You seemed like a pro at public speaking... -
Inappropriate?Ah Emmy that cute little smirky smile you gave at the very end, with the little eyebrow raise, made me laugh. I hope I didnt wake up my children. hahaha. Love the hair! When I get home (SFO) this summer I will have to go to your stylist. All in all, very cool. You represented Yola and the community so well. I am proud!
I’m happy
