You have stressed the point, that by your community's experience, you feel is important: Awareness of an impending change. That has prepared your readers well. They are now setup to be informed. One of the best examples I've seen on focus
The small block for subscription is a little lost. How to deal with this important aspect? It's certainly in prime real estate so the location is perfect. It needs a draw. A border comes to mind. What do you feel would make this more outstanding and still fit in?

The colour is warm without being fuzzy, the baby's foot is a focus on the reason for the change and yet you've maintained the focus of the mother being in charge of being informed and the website is a source of the information.
