There are a few issues you need to keep in mind that could help you to answer this question:
1) The search engine spiders crawl the web every few days to index all the new content that is published on the web. So it takes a little bit of time from the moment when your site is published until the search engines index it.
2) It depends what search term you are using when you google your site. If it is something very specific and unique (like your site title) then you have a better chance of showing up in a search. If it is something really general related to your site like for example "pet products" - take a look at all the search results that appear (for that search term I got: "Results 1 - 10 of about 15,500,000 for pet products") The first page only shows the first 10 results, the next page the next 10 and so on. So once your site is indexed, it may be somewhere on that list, but depending on how broad or narrow or competitive your search term is, that is the competition you face to appear prominently in the search results!
3)Google uses a complex formula to determine how highly your page ranks. No one knows what the formula is, but there are some general principles you can use to improve the ranking of your site. Your site will do better if you have a) outbound links (links from your site to other sites)
and 2) inbound links (links from other sites to your site.) Inbound links are the most important. They drive traffic to your site by referring visitors from other sites to your site. Google is looking to see that you are an authority on your subject and the way Google calculates this is based on how many links you have to and from your site.

Inappropriate?this is a funny topic for me... I often get found by searches on yahoo, google, and bing and with getclicky I know the exact search. I'll then go and test it out by typing in that search into google or yahoo and I won't even be on the first ten pages. Just because you SEEM to not be appearing, doesn't mean you aren't! :)

Inappropriate?google has a hard time trying to figure picking up keywords from yola site dont no why but just happends,
tip get a .com name and it shud be better.
myne is a .co.nr and it appears on page with the free domains thing (.co.nr) -
I would not say that Google has a hard time picking up keywords from Yola sites; many Yola users have had lots of success with the search engines. A good thing to do is make sure that the keywords you put for a page are also on the page text and in your other meta tags. Here is a link to our Knowledge Book topic on meta tags: Adding Meta Tags.

Inappropriate? To get listed in google, use facebook. Its way quicker than submitting your site, and can even work in 48 hours. Go to the post link bit, fill it in then send it to all your friends. Then sit back and wait.
As for knowing which search terms you appear for use google analytics it'll tell you everything about your websites visibility.

Inappropriate?THIS WILL FOR SHURE GET YOUR BLOG ON GOOGLE 100%
If you have a wordpress blog link your website there and in a day it will be on google instead of linking it every where do this and 100% sure it will be on google but put it on your wordpress blog like 6 times and your website will permanently stay on google the reason for this is because if you update you site you would have to update your blog and wait another whole day for it to be on Google so just link it 6 times and even if you update your site it will stay on google this wrks 100%
I’m confident that this will work

Inappropriate?I figured out the best way.
Depending on the Search Engine, you have to go to their "Webmaster Tools" and follow the steps. In Google's case, go here http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
