Finding The url of a Music File Stored at Yola
I have my own html code for a small music player I add to each page. When I store the music at my site, how can I click on it to find out the file name to insert into my own music player ( I prefer this to using a widget ) ? I have been days trying to find this out, ha ha.
Thanks for a wonderful service...I love Yola! It rocks!
Thank you,
Sal

Inappropriate?Hi Sal
Thanks for your positive feedback about Yola! We are glad you like us.
The path to your music files would be:
/resources/folder/file.jpg
Where:
>"resources" is the name of the File Manager (you must not change that).
>"folder" - if your file is in a folder, include the folder name.
>"file.mp3" is the name of your file.
Please ensure that the path name is identical to the one in the File Manager in terms of upper and lower-case letters, dots, dashes etc.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any difficulty with these instructions.

Inappropriate?Hi Sal,
First click on File Manager in the site builder:

Select the file, then you will see the url here:

Hope this helps,
Connor

Inappropriate?Okay, I found that, thanks! Just a point - I take it we cant copy and paste this area which mentions the file name to ensure accuracy? Previous websites I have run allow this, to make sure spaces, dots etc are in the correct place. I take it we have to add the file name to the music player by hand? - which is rather time consuming and prone to errors. Could it maybe be a modification worth considering at Yola?
Thanks for getting back to me so soon,
Sal -
You can right click on the file and select 'rename', copy the text there then just put resources/ infront of it.
As you said above it's your own html code for a music player, a music player modification would be handy for you but others like myself that have no need for a music player it would seem pointless and useless. Website building is a time consuming process and if you want an added feature like a music player on your site well your gonna have to take the time to add it properly.
It's all part of the fun of HTML!!..:D
