Inappropriate?Hi Zooz,
Currently there is no way to do this - all of your published SynthaSite is available publically. We have plans to allow you to share parts or all of your site with a closed group, even to the point of collaborations as fellow authors.
If you have any feedback on features that would be good to have then we would be very interested to hear that.
Would you want to maintain a list of members who are allowed to see your website or would it be sufficient to have a password-protected site? -
Couldn't they add a hidden page? A page not included in their menu. Then members could access this page by adding a /members_only to the URL in the window in their web browser. I realize this isn't real high security, but the general public wouldn't know how to get there because it isn't shown on the menu. This gives some level of security. -
Inappropriate?Hi lisaretief,
Thanks for the reply.
In fact I want to keep my site displayed to the public except for one page
(which contains an embeded forum). The idea is to allow registered members to access that page by first logging in to the members area with a password and then proceeding to log in the forum with their individual passwords. -
Inappropriate?I have that same exact idea
I really want to do this since my site is going to become like a serority
Please help!!!!
I’m a little frustrated
-
Inappropriate?J, nice to see how eager you are.
As I mentioned to Zooz, there is no support in the current SynthaSite release for restricting access to your website, but it is on our backlog. -
Inappropriate? What do you mean by "Would you want to maintain a list of members who are allowed to see your website or would it be sufficient to have a password-protected site?" On your above reply, lizaretief?
I’m just wondering
-
Inappropriate?Um, lisaretief. I want to know why you told Zooz this, " Would you want to maintain a list of members who are allowed to see your website or would it be sufficient to have a password-protected site?" please respond lisaretief!!

Inappropriate?J, I was asking for more detail on the original post so that I could feed it back into our feature planning. We are always looking for feedback from our users.

Inappropriate?Hi yes it would be good to have that sort of thing i was going to post a topic:
"I was wondering whether you could have a members area?
For instance, like having a password protected area or page on the site?
Is that possible?"
But now you have answered my question so I'll just have to wait..........
Thankyou
