Google and indexing your RSS feed

If you go to your Google Webmaster's account then to subscriber stats you will see an option to submit your blog RSS feed as a site map...When you create a new post you are creating a new URL and this will help make sure each posting is indexed by Google.I never noticed this until the other day so I tried it...Now all my posts are showing as indexed pages.
