Help needed Uploading PDF ebook to website
How do I upload a PDF ebook I have created to my site and have people able to download it? Also, how do I create a hypelink to a website to download a pdf reader? thanks.

Can you tell me what the file size of your ebook is? I will then make the best suggestion on how to add it to your site.
There is a known issue with Internet Explorer and downloading large PDF files, so I might recommend hosting the file with a specialized service for electronic products, but I will wait for you to get back to me first. -

Thanks for replying. The book is only 424kb. I am using Mozilla, and am very new to uploading ebooks.
I have tried creating a folder 'download' and uploaded to that, then added the link to my site. As its PDF I read a few others and gave instructions to save as. When I have saved it (which it does) it tells me it is not a supported file or that the file has been damaged.
I have also tried linking it from just the files folder as well, no go.
The original PDF ebook open fine on my computer so I have no idea what the problem is...
If I have to upload it to another site, I am thinking about using free-ebooks.net . Most of the ebook sites only use a link to the ebook from the 'authors or advertising' site.
Any info would be most gratefully appreciated.

It sounds like you are on the right track. Given the size of your file, I would recommend the file widget. Similar to the solution you already have, but it creates a nice link button for you:
1. Drag and drop a file widget onto your page from the sidebar on the right (the icon for this looks like a computer disk).
2. A dialog box will open and you can choose to browse your computer for the file you want to upload or choose an already uploaded image.
3. When you click "OK" a link to your file will automatically be created. To test that it is working, save and preview your page.
People will then be able to click on your link and download your MS Word file, PDF, PowerPoint presentation, spreadsheet or whatever file you have uploaded.
Please post a link to your site so we can test the download. It could be that the people trying to read it don't have an up to date version of Acrobat Reader. I suggest getting a few people in the forum to try it out and then we can see if it is a problem with the file or not.

Inappropriate?THANK YOU!! All I needed was to know how to do it. I have used the computer disk icon to link it to the file I had uploaded. That will make it easier. I am setting this site up for a friend, so not a good idea to have links to my computer. lol.
I did test it and it worked for me. Here is the link if some kind person would like to try it out for me as well please?
