Help with uploading flash slideshows with javascript.
I use adobe lightroom to create slideshows of my pictures. The slideshows include javascript files so I can't upload them. Does anyone know of a way to compile the flash slideshow into a single SWF file that could be uploaded to my site? Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Matthew
I am afraid I am not familar with Adobe Lightroom and I would need to experiment to find out if this can be done.
Has anyone else used this software and been able to integrate a slideshow onto their site?
I’m hoping someone will help us out here. . .

Inappropriate?Hi
Was there any solution to Matthew's problem? I am using the Slideshow Pro extension for Flash CS3 and am having the same issue (not being able to upload the required .js file/ finding an alternative to doing this).
Does anyone know of an extension for Flash CS3 that doesn't need any javascript and will work with synthasite? I am looking for an easier way to create flash banners for my site, but not something like the Aleosoft banner maker mentioned elsewhere on the forum.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Inappropriate?I was lucky on this and was able to load a js file before they prohibited them. I tried to add another recently and couldn't. Staff told me there is no way to do this any longer.
For now, your best bet is to use a pre-made show that is hosted elsewhere - such as flickr or picasa. You build the show on their site and just paste the code in an html widget.
I have 3 running on my site and they're not bad. They were made in flickr and slide. http://guidographics.synthasite.com if you want to look. (The carousel on my index page is the one with the .js file that's grandfathered in)

Inappropriate?As we are unable to upload the .js files any longer to protect the integrity of the site builder I offer you a simple to use and implement image presenter which offers a similar in appearance carousel.

This is by far the easiest to use and add to your website. It is pretty self explanatory and simple but if you run into any problems just ask. I wish I had a tutorial but I have been busy and won't get to that until next week.
There are so many possibilities that you will never tire at the ways you can show off your images. I have everything set to transparent so it matches with my background color but you can add any effect you like.
Happy site building

Inappropriate?Thank you for your suggestions Ed & Guido.
I was more looking for something that will let me create a flash banner for my website (not an actual gallery with thumbnails), where I can add links from my logo and text to my home/special offers page, etc. The main problem I am having is that i am new to flash so I'm in need of a banner/gallery extension or an extension with customisable transition and mask effects for Adobe Flash CS3, so I don't need to write/edit a lot of actionscript on my own.
I have had a look at the Aleosoft banner maker but it isn't customisable enough for what i'm looking to do. -
Inappropriate?I gave up on Synthasite and went to a pay service and everything's rosy. It's not "too much" if you prorate it out over a year and I have my own domain name. Too bad, I liked the simple site building tool at Synthasite. But, I really wanted the slide shows/galleries the way I wanted them, not like allot of these tacky free slide shows.
Good luck with whatever you do!
I’m relieved

Hello
Unfortunately, you cannot upload .js into your file manager as this can be used maliciously. You can try uploading your files to a file hosting company and link to it. Another alternative is to visit www.yolacodes.yolasite.com for codes that you can use on your site. Look under slideshow. Please be sure to read the rules first before grabbing the codes. Thanks. -
hi
the following was provided by jason to help me embed my xml slideshow without the need to upload the .js file it came with.
<!--
<object width="200" height="400">
<param name="movie" value="resources/myswffile.swf">
<embed src="resources/myswffile.swf" width="200" height="400" flashvars="file=resources/xmlfilename.xml&autostart=true">
</embed>
</object>
-->
you need to change the width, height and file path names.
hope this helps
