I use 5 different affiliate networks for ads on my site ( www.honeybearplayhomes.com ) but the post I just gave you is for Commission Junction. I think that you will find something you like there. Keep in mind that there are so many affiliate networks out there that are not legitimate and don't pay their affiliates that you really need to do your research before choosing a network. Also, any good network will never charge you to become an affiliate. Keep that in mind ;)

Could you tell me whether Google allows you to run others' ads on the same website that you run theirs on?
And do other companies tend to be restrictive about that?

As long as you aren't using click bots or a member of a pay per click scam network they are ok with ads from other companies. Do read the fine print though and realize that they will check up on your site from time to time. I have had hundreds of site checks by the companies I use and have never had a bad mark or reply yet.
