how do i change the signature that appears when I post a topic?
I have created a blog. I appear as one signature when I post a topic, but I want to change this to another signature. How do I do this? I assume it has to do with my original login information, but I have already changed this and it made no different.

By default the author name of your post is the name you used when you created your account. You can edit this by clicking on the "Edit Profile" link on your My Sites page (the page you see when you first log into your account). Any new posts you create after changing your account information should reflect your new name. However, you first need to log out and then log back in again before new posts start to appear under your new name.
If you don't want to change the name associated with your account, for or existing posts you can edit your name as follows:
1) Double click on the title of the post.
2) In the post editor dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab.
3) You can then manually edit the name for your post.
Here is a link to our Help Topic page that gives you the same instructions with a screenshot: http://cs.synthasite.com/index.php?pg...

Inappropriate?Hi Pink V,
Click New Post, create the blog post (title, body etc), click the Advanced tab, and enter the Author name. The blog post will then say Posted by Jane, what ever you wish. Hope this helps.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I feel really stupid.. but I still can't find that advanced button that you're talking about! Here's the screenshot of my post editor dialog box. At least I think this is it!
I’m feeling dumb
-
Inappropriate?Hi Littleus,
You don't need to feel stupid - it's definitely not showing on your screen. Can you try a different browser like Firefox? (You can download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/).
Please let us know if that helps at all, we're going to investigate why it's not showing in IE.
-
Inappropriate?I'm sure the FF will be the answer, but for personal reasons, I don't want to use FF as it does not have a internet blocking thing like IE7 - where I can password protect any user from going on the internet. So, until FF has that ability, I need to stick with IE7. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Inappropriate?IE is horrible next to firefox and following the rule; anything IE can do FF can do better, i was sure there would be a way to get round your problem.
Download this extension after installing FF3
"you might need to right click and open in a new tab - maybe, maybe not"
http://www.nic-nac-project.de/~kaosmo...
After installing the extension go to Tools from the menu choose ProfilePassword and enter password you wish to use.
i have tested it, seems to work good.
your synthasite site will look much better and your original problem will be gone -
Inappropriate? You can get an addon and change those settings with FF. try chrome or safari they both work
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?Sorry... I should clarify here. On the IE7, I was able to password protect the use of the internet but allow users access only to certain things on the internet. I did download the FF and the addon but it blocked the user from any access at all to the internet. Not exactly what I was looking for. Do you know of any other add on I could possibly use that would do what the IE7 did?
-
Inappropriate?there are a few - you would have to see whats best for you
Also you could use firefox, password protected only for yourself, dont tell the kids (or whoever) the firefox password and use it just for yourself. Let them use IE.
check out these links see if they will work for you

Inappropriate?Hi Lee
"Also you could use firefox, password protected only for yourself, dont tell the kids (or whoever) the firefox password and use it just for yourself. Let them use IE."
Yep.. I figured that one out! I'm a little slow at times! Thanks for all your suggestions.
I’m feeling much better
-
Inappropriate?I figured out the problem. I'm still back in the oldies as my screen size is only 800 pixels. When I changed the size of the screen, I was able to see the tabs you pointed out. I can't wait until I finally upgrade my computer, including a much bigger screen! =)
-
Inappropriate?Super cool! That's awesome that you figured it out!
