Putting up a website is a good idea. The most important thing you can do is to post the link to your site wherever you can. The more links you have from other sites to your sites, the more traffic you will get.

i would like to make people come to my site but i dont want to do it by adsense because then i will be filled with a buunch of ads people will get disconcentrated click on a add and leave so please. i would like a search engine or anythign anything else that can help me get more customers because i have been planning for months and nothing i have alot of websites that would like for people to go in and buy things please so please answer as soon as you can i am just very sad i really want to make people come to my site is there another way besides using adsense that will never work!

You don't need to put Adsense on your site to get people to visit. However, it does take time and effort to build a successful website, and like all good things in life, doesn't happen overnight.

Good point pitfall. I have a blog that talks specifically about gaining traffic. Plus if you have a yola blog you can submit your blog to the blog directory on my site
