I’m frustrated

How do I verify/claim my site with Alexa?

I'm trying to claim/verify my site with Alexa. However, when pasting the code into the html widget it is not found by Alexa....and I am unable to upload the .txt file to my root page...and I don't have a ....@westseas.com email address so I can't do that option and I do not display my full contact details on my homepage, just a contact email, therefore the manual editing is out. Sooooo....do I forward my Alexa meta tag or .txt file to the support at Yola so that they can enter it into my root file or what?

Can we clarify this question once and for all please...it's so confusing!

Regards

  • Hello Mark,

I can definitely understand that this is frustrating. It looks to me like verifying with Alexa will not be possible unless you have a domain branded email as the other options are not possible. It's not possible at this time for us to receive data from you to add to the root of your site.

There is another thread where this was discussed quite extensively by other forum members including one of our Champs: How do I verify my site with Alexa.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Kind Regards,
    Emmy

    Hello Emmy,

I had read the other thread before asking the question and I'd hoped that there may have been another option.
Incidently (and probably pure coincidence), I did have an Alexa ranking before I renewed my domain with your goodselves (it's now "no data") and I also note that the old synthasite web address, that I had before upgrading, is still showing...would this cause any problems? ..probably a daft question ;)

Anyway, moving on, it seems as though I need a domain branded email, so could you kindly point me in the direction to obtain one please.

My site is http://www.westseas.com should you need it or feel the need to break into hysterical laughter at my efforts. :P

    Kindest regards

    Mark
