How to redirect people to my new site domain name? I want to be able to make it so that when people type in renegadetomcats.synthasite.com that it brings viewers to a page with a link to my new domain name.

Inappropriate?where did you get the domain?
You can publish your site to both the domain and the subdomain
Publishing settings > manage your domains > add both the sub (at the top) and the domain(at the bottom) - save and republish

If you purchase a domain name from Yola your subdomain will automatically redirect to your custom domain.
If you click on Update Site you will be given the option to Upgrade to your own domain.
If you choose this option and follow through to publish your site the subdomian you were published to will redirect to the new domain.

Yola do make the transfer very easy - (they do everything for you) i have domains with them and i can highly reccommend them to anyone. -
