how to use google webmaster domain redirected to synthasite
I have just created a new website on Synthasite. My domain is being redirected to Synthasite using Stealth Redirect from my domain manager.
My question is, in order to properly use Google Webmaster, in Webmaster should I use my "real" domain name (that's being redirected, i.e. www.greatspaceshi.com) or use the Synthasite domain name (i.e. www.greatspaceshi.synthasite.com)?

Thanks for your quick reply but don't think it answers my question. I don't think this is about domains and subdomains.
My original web site was greatspaceshi.com which was hosted somewhere else. I've now built a new site at synthasite, called greatspaceshi.synthasite.com. At my old hosting site I was able to redirect my domain to the new site. That is, if a user types "greatspaceshi.com" it will be redirected to "greatspaceshi.synthasite.com" transparently to the user. Therefore, my question is when using Google Webmaster, do I use greatspaceshi.com or greatspaceshi.synthasite.com.

Google Webmaster provides you with detailed reports about the site you submit to them, so you must use ur greaspace.synthasite.com if this is the site that you want to diagnose by google webmaster. -

Google Webmaster tells you more about the statistics, diagnostics and management of Google's indexing of your website, including Sitemap submission and reporting. If you would like them to index your top-level domain, you would need to verify that site. If you would like to index the subdomain, you'd need to verify that site!
However, if your SynthaSite is considered your 'main' site, it would make sense to verify your site that one.
However, ideally your site should be published to one domain instead of having a redirect to your SynthaSite subdomain. You can publish to greatspaceshi.com if you edit settings with your domain registrar. For more information, check out this thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

Thanks. I've gone and created an A record on my domain host to point at Synthasite and removed the redirect. The A record change hasn't propagated yet so I can't do the next steps, but I'm assuming it will work and then I can go do Google Webmaster the way it's supposed to work. Thanks again. -
