I have set up Google Apps and also put the TXT code in the advanced settings of the domains section in My Yola but Google Apps still tell me that the verification of my site has been unsuccessful.
I cannot add any HTML for google to find either bcause I cannot edit the section.
I have also tried to add the TXT that google provided into my DNS record but Yola state something is invalid so this also does not work.
I have tried everything to get my site verified but nothing is working.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated or if there is something I am doing wrong please advise me and I will correct any errors.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Paul,
Can you post the Google code here and we can check it for completeness. (the whole line of code ) -
-
google-site-verification=50u_EQnpud-P6BidpZco_oxEV-yyr_KMGj_42K9Aq9I
this is the TXT code-
Good.
Now click on Advanced settings under Domains.
Paste the whole string into the field: Google App Set-up (CName)
Submit
Now return to your GApps account and click "verify" button. This may take several hours to propagate but usually within 30 minutes I've found or less.
Tell me when you have done that and I can also monitor this independently. -

Can you also tell me your domain name please?

Hi
I have already added the code to the Google Apps section under the emails and that was nearly 2 hours ago and it is still saying that it cannot verify my site.
The domain is ygsuk.co.uk.
Thanks-
It hasn't come through as yet . Need to wait fr several hours before you can say that it has failed (up to 48 hours is suggested)
You can also try the txt method which is slightly different and requires that you go into the DNS manager of your site and add some records manually. I noticed that Google has changed things again on the verification process so you may need to go this route. -

so you would suggest that i periodically try to verify the site every few hours?
thanks-
No.
Just check the verification button to see if it has verified. When it has then you can move on. -

Hi
This is really beginning to get on my nerves. It should not be this hard surely? Google is still stating that they cannot validate my domain although I have done everything possible.
Any suggestions?-
Hi Paul,
Ready for the next assault?
If you wish we can try the specific Google process of adding the TXT file to your DNS settings? Your call. -

Well, i have tried everything stated on Yola & google and as yet it has not worked.
Is this going to cost me anything?
thanks-
Of course not. This forum is simply a community of users who share information.

The first thing to do is to remove the CNAME record that you added through the Yola Google facility.
Second thing is that if you have added any TXT records to your DNS manager then I would remove that also so that you are starting with a clean slate. -
