I need to seperate 2 sites on my account

I have opened 2 websites on my account.. one is for a Friends business and the other for a playgroup I run. I am soon to hand over the playgroup to someone else. Is there any way of handing ownership over to someone else so they can control the playgroup site without being able to access the business site?

I’m confused

Hi Donna,

Unfortunately, right now we do not have a feature that allows you to transfer a website from one Yola account to another. You can change the login email associated with your whole account by editing your profile. However, if you have more than one site in your account, this change will affect all your sites.

If you wish to manage one site separately from your other sites, you need to create a new account, and then create the site in that account.

Hopefully in future it will be possible to transfer a ready-made site between accounts. If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

So - what is the purpose of having the ability to design 25 different web sites in the business version of Yola if you can't offer each of those sites a different login? The beauty of Yola is its elegant and user-friendly CMS which is what my small business/individual clients desperately need but can't afford someone to create for them. Even if I could at least link those sites out to a separate login so I could offer the client their own login for an additional fee (charged by you, passed along to the customer via me) that would be a huge benefit and one that seems relatively innocuous to implement on your end.

Any hope that could happen in the very near future?

Hi Jane,
I can understand why unique logins for the sites in your account would be very helpful for the type of business you are running. I believe what many web designers do that use Yola Pro to create websites for clients is they perform all the maintenance so the other party doesn't have to login to the account, but that is just one way of doing things. We also have quite a few users who build multiple sites for various marketing and sales projects which is why the 25 sites comes in handy. What you would need to do if you want your clients to be able to edit their sites and have their own login is create a separate account for each client.

I understand that this is not optimal for what you are wanting to do, but I also cannot be sure if this is something that we will implement in the future. I'm sorry I don't have better news on that, but I hope you will be abel to use the suggestion about creating an account for each client and please let us know if we can assist with anything else.
