8Hi Monica and Jake
We are going to introduce part of what you are asking for very soon. You will have the option to password protect your entire site, or certain pages on your site that you select. You will assign a single username and password that you will need to share with members. One idea would be to add a Wufoo form for them to register, they could fill it in and you could send them the password! This feature is literally around the corner. A week or two and the most!
The more complicated aspect of this feature is going to take much longer:
the ability for people to register on your site and be assigned their own username and password. The reason for this is that we have to make it possible for each user to have their own database for their websites, and the database has to be able to "move" with them wherever they take their sites. This is not a trivial task, as you can imagine! So although we are full well aware that there is huge popular demand for this feature, building it is going to take time, and we don't have a release date yet. We don't like to make promises we can't keep, so we will let you know when we have made a lot of progress on the feature and we are nearly ready to go live with it.
In the meantime we hope the password protection feature is going to come in useful! We are excited about making it available with the next SynthaSite release.
Best wishes

Hey Monique, i know synthasite is working hard to help us.
I m just curious to know, how this feature would be? (as i can see company is considering this idea)
would we able to make some pages public, and some pages accessed only by members?
And how the system would work? i mean would it let us choose and allow to accept people, or it would automatically generate passwords for users?
And yeah, i would be really happy to know when this feature would be introduced? :-) -
Well I really like the idea otherwise I wouldn't have posted it up.

Yes, a membership area for your site is a good idea and something that is on our list of requested features. We hope to work on making this possible in future!

Hi Monique
What do you mean by the database has to "move" with the user's site?
Do you mean if someone downloads their site to their computer and uploads it to another web host, that they will have to be able to have the database go with them too? Or did you mean something else?
Thanks,
Nathan -

Hi Jake. Please see my response above, in which I explain the difference between password protection and a membership feature. The password feature was released a few weeks ago (you can find this feature in the site manager tab in SynthaSite). The membership feature is going to take a lot longer, and we don't have a release date for it at this time. I am sorry for any misunderstanding that might have arisen, and I hope this clears things up for you.

Hello josua torres,
Are you wondering about how other people are able to sign up to your site; unfortunately there is not a way for people to become members of your site as we do not yet have a members only feature. You may be interested in a tool called Google Friend Connect; here is a link to your tutorials: Google Friend Connect.
Hope this helps!

What are the other features y'll planning to include soon!!?? -

Hi Steven,
You can add members to you site using Google Friend connect. See this link for more detail: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/google-...
We have just released some new styles and some other features, you can check them out on this thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/yola/topic... -

hi,
about the mebership thing i have gone to this page http://www.yola.com/tutorials/google-... and i wnet to the google friend connect but it goes to the gmail.com login. is that right??-
Hi Smithy,
Can you tell me from what place you are being sent to gmail.com? Have you been able to go through the tutorial, at which place are you unable to proceed any further?

there is 1 thing about this membership thing that u want yola to make, 1 yola will have to make a form like (for example: username, password, e-mail, comfirm e-mail etc...) and then yola will have to get this
First name:
Last name:
and then get a submit button. so there is a lot of work to do of making this feature possible and it will take quite a few months to do it!! -
-
Are you considering making available this option?(I mean the full-fledged option,i.e,Member can choose their name and password?
-
This has been a popular request for some time, and it is certainly on our list of features we would like to develop. To help us out, can you tell us more about what you would use it for and how you would like it to function? I pass this feedback to our developers so it is certainly worth taking the time to let us know what your needs are.

i have members and i would like them to have their own login so i can keep the password protection to myself to use it for admin purposes .
acnet.yolasite.com-
hi adam,
the way that i do it is when u get a user sign up to your site, create a new e-mail address, and then go to yola and create a new account there. for example is some 1 wants a username like catsdogsuk and there password yola, then all u have to do it
1. create a hotmail, google or yahoo which ever 1 u perfruer
2. go to www.yola.com and then create a new account.
3. do what u have to do and then bobs ur uncole u r done!!
i hope tis helps!! -
-
Hi Adam,
At the moment it's not possible for users to have their own logins for your site. If you password protect your pages (this is a different password to your login one) then only members can view your site, but it is the same user name and password for everyone.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood your question. -

i have so many prob
1- can people join my site???
2- can people upload to the site aftar login??-
Hello Naruto,
At this time Yola does not have a members only feature, you might want to look into something like Google Friend Connect, possibly this will help.
It's also not possible to have people upload things to your site as everything that gets added to the site needs to be added from inside the Site Builder. You could always have people email you things and you could them on the site.
I hope this helps! -
-
-
-
-
This sounds like a good idea. I also want a membership widget. Thank you.
-
-
Still waiting......now that we are paying for pro it would be a great idea to add membership databases.... I mean at least let us upload our own databases.. saves you guys time doing it yourself. maybe have interologies free profile manage incorporate with this site. and maybe make some money from it. Yola it really isnt that hard. There are plenty of alternatives then yola actually doing themselves. Use a thrid party, agian Interology (jotform) profile manager. its easily customizable. its free, what more do you want. All you have to di is allow us to add it to site.
-
yeah if they had the server to do it!!
-
-
Allowing users to upload there own databases, would be something too complicated for Yola's target audience and this would go against what Yola's mission is. Just because you are able to create and edit databases, dosen't mean everyone can, therefore it wouldn't be viable for Yola to release something like this.
-
-
-
-
-
Minimia,
It is very unlikely for this to be added to Yola.
It really depends what kind of membership you will offer, Yola can't make every single type of membership type there is, For example a user starts a book store and wants users to be able to pay online and have a panel for shipping/payments etc, Yola isn't responsible for making a custom membership script for that.
However I'm sure they can add something universal that is configurable.
Also, One thing that can have membership is forums. (I believe some users have already integrated forums into their site.-
Who are you? Where do you get that logo from?
-
-
-
-
-
To add onto this, this is how I think it should work:
-We get the option of creating a new page for accounts. When the page is created, the registration/profile/membership begins to work on the site.
-On the page, if you are not logged in, it shows a login form and a registration form. If you are logged in, it shows your profile (Avatar, username, email, interests, the little stuff) and allows you to change them.
-Make 3 settings for each page on the site: Public, Password Protected, or Account Required, the latter requiring someone to login to view the page. If they are not logged in and they try to access the page, it will redirect them to the page noted in the bullet above this one.
-Throughout the site, if you're logged in, the top-right corner will have "[insert username here] | Log Out | Profile". Log Out will refresh the page, but you will be logged out, and Profile will redirect you to the page noted 2 bullets above. If you're not logged in, "Log In/Register" will appear instead, and it'll be one link that redirects to the page noted 2 bullets above.
These are just my ideas. :P-
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions.
-
-
I got try that before, but you need a automatic form type your user and password will bring you to the link. ( But don't bring it to the homepage link. ) Make another page, logged in. If you don't make, your customers will know you used that tricky trick.

Like many folk, I'm building a pay-per-subscription site under Yola - in my case linked to a PayPal subscription storefront. I need some reliable way to control my paying members, once I grant them posting access to the forums and blogs.
Nabble offers a wonderful forum feature and, like Yola, its support is awesome. However, Nabble does not reveal - even to the site administrator - a member's email address linked to their user name. Capturing their email and username via eg. a Wufoo form works only at the start. As soon as a member has access to a Nabble forum they can change their user name and email and become invisible.
So if they lapse their subscription, the administrator cannot remove them - because s/he cannot find them! Result... they get a free ride forever.
Solution: a front-end subscription area within Yola itself would avoid this problem. We do need a way for Yola administrators to assign a separate access password to every new user - and control this data. (Giving everyone the same password to a password-protected area simply allows a subscriber to pay once, lapse their subscription then get a free ride on the site forever using this password.)
Is Yola any further in developing a per-subscriber password utility?-
Hi Nigel - thank you for your post on this thread. We're not planning to release this feature in the near future, we are aware this is an often-requested feature and it is something that we would like to plan for.
I'm sorry I can't give you any bright news for your request. -

A membership for our website would be great! I know that webs.com already has that feature. But I don't like webs.com for some reason. I like yola better. It is just better and I am used to it! I have been using it for about a year now! Please visit my website @ www.nathansmusicstudio.yolasite.com Thank you!
-
-
Maybe yola could ask www.webs.com how they got there website builder to allow us to have memberships on our website. I don't know how webs.com did it, but yola should do that too! I hope they do!
-
-
Hey guys and girls, I've tried a lot of website builders and one of them was called Spruz. They have a membership app on there. They also use Skysa Bar, I use it on my Yola website and it works great. Spruz is a Social Network builder that is all free, but about the bar, is that it has different apps that you can add on to it like Friends Online IM so if that's something you want on your website it's at skysa.com so you can check it out, and I do reccomend it it, but it doesn't have a Member app.
-
-
here is a idea why not allow us to split our website to different sections!
-
-
Yes, it is very easy in Yola - using its Save As utility - to copy a page in every detail as a 'mirror'. You can then build a multiplicity of 'sites within sites', each identical except for some key feature. For example, some pages can be password-protected, some made open to the visiting public.
A site published under a single domain name could thus become a labyrinth of endless mini-sites, each angled to some purpose.
This feature is especially useful if, for example, you need to track a visitor path from a certain source eg. an ezine or forum posting elsewhere. The visitor can hit on a landing page dedicated to that source then follow their 'own' route through the labyrinth, each page being angled just to that source and to them.
Result: more conversions to sale, plus impeccable tracking. -
-
Where is the save as utility located and is that the same thing as sub domains? I still don't get how sub domains work.
-
If you're on a page in the Sitebuilder, click on the down-arrow next to "Save" to see the "Save As" option. All it will do is save a copy of the page in your site with another name (sometimes good if you want a range of pages to have the same content without redoing it).
A subdomain is an address for your site. For example, www.yoursite.com is a custom domain; www.yoursite.yolasite.com is a subdomain. If you buy your own domain, you can create subdomains with that domain eg. www.art.yoursite.com.
I hope that helps! -
-
I made some sub domains for my domain. My domain that I have in the site builder is: http://www.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc The sub domains I have made for this domain are:
Blog: http://blog.nathansmusicstudio.c.zcc
Status Blog: http://status.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc
E-mail: http://mail.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc
Documents: http://docs.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc
Sites: http://sites.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc
Calendar: http://calendar.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc
And more!
These are actually like sub-subdomains!
I got my free domain from http://www.nic.cz.cc
Then, I created CNAME records to make all of the sub domains.
I got my Blogs from Blogger and I pointed http://status.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc and http://blog.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc to the thing I'm suppose to point them to. -
-
-
-
-
Thanks for the answer! One more question, I tried making a sub domain but how do I make that show up on my original site and would that be for something like a video site of something?
-
Could you post your site's URL so that I can take a look for you?
-
-
-
-
-
http://www.spirited-lady-health.info is the one I added a sub domain to but could never figure out what to do with it such as edit, delete etc. Thanks for looking!
-
What is the sub domain?
-
-
-
-
-
I think I'm finally getting what you are doing. You have to set up a sub domain at your hosting account and then add it to Yola. Is that right?
-
Well, http://www.nic.cz.cc isn't my hosting account, it is my domain provider. Then, I made an A record to point my domain to yola and I have it in the site builder now. So if anyone goes to http://www.nathansmusicstudio.yolasit..., it automatically goes to http://www.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc!
-
-
Correct - you would need to setup the subdomains with your domain host and point them to Yola in the same way you did with your custom domain (using A Records). This link has the normal steps on pointing a domain to Yola: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...
-
-
-
-
-
Thanks so much, I think I get it now! Finally!!! Now I'll just have to try it out!
-
-
Any closer to setting up site memberships? I'm outsourcing membership elsewhere for now, but it would be tidier to have it as an inbuilt part of my own site. Mick

I am just saying this because last time, I put a link on this forum and an employee said it is spammy, but I'm not mad, I just don't want it to happen again!)- view 1 more comment

If you'd like an account, you can just click that "Sign Up" link on the login page.

We got this from www.AuthPro.com. It includes the Database management, (Well, its not a spread sheet, it is a user list where you can suspend or delete users, etc.) Also, you can put the logout link, the edit profile link, the delete account link, the welcome message (Such as: Welcome, {username}" or something but you can customize what it says and much more! This would be goood for all the Yola users that want Membership! Maybe someday Yola could team up with them and they could set it up. (The Deluxe is only $4/mo and the Free is free! Deluxe has an unlimited number of members and you can put the login forms right in your site when you have deluxe)

Replying to Nathan, AuthPro does seem to work. Problem is, I have now outsourced my site to Yola, my forums to Nabble and my password protection to AuthPro. If any one member of this troika goes belly up, I'm dead. And I have a large commercial site at threat!
Mischievous memo to Yola: I'd much rather put all my eggs in your basket. Your support is fabulous. How about a joint venture with AuthPro (or even Nabble)?-
Yeah, AuthPro does work. Please login to my site and use the password: Test and the username (login): Test and test it out, if you go to the homepage, it will say "Logged in as {your username} [Member's Area] [Logout]" at the top under our logo. Also, it says that in all the member's pages. But Yola could team up with Authpro and get membership in our websites and then have us log into AuthPro and that is where you can manage all the members (The "Database") and you can change the settings, add little codes in like "Welcome, {username}" and add like "Edit Profile" links and "Logout" links and much more! Just wanted to let you know and let Yola know a little more about AuthPro.
-
-
Hi, I just suspended the Test account because I do not want everyone in this forum to get into my website's members pages without having a account!

Yola should just create a Membership feature where whenever one person signs up for one of our website's, they are a user of Yola. Basically, just use the Yola system, and, have the forms and welcome codes and stuff on the pages. That should work! That's how www.webs.com website builder does it! :) -
-
-
-
CHAMP
I’m
confident
Yeah, and this would be easier to do it this way! They could probably just do it like this for a little bit, and then, when they get the actual membership feature in, with each website having it's own database. But, it would work for the mean time! -
-
Memo to Yola: We love you! (You know that.) But you have a serious quorum of Yola users who'd like more. And some of us are willing to pay for it.
Problem 1: You give too much away for free - or even for $19.95 pa. I have a content-rich 48mb site and, as I'm not a movie producer, I can't imagine ever needing 5gb. So I have no incentive to pay for an upgraded membership. Though I'd be happy to.
Solution: create a super-membership level (Zirconium?). Charge $49.95pa per site. Bundle into it... a customizable password page (the present one is a sales killer). A unique member password and log in feature (joint venture with AuthPro?). An email capture option for our squeeze pages plus a basic autoresponder (Wufoo works fine for email capture; it just needs an autoresponder backend). More sophisticated design features eg. frames and boxes that don't need complex HTML Etc...
Build a one-stop shop of utilities that are Yola-tested, supported and compatible.
Right now, we have to outsource our plug-ins. Many of the gadgets in the sidebar are downright cheesy (eg. music plug-ins) and others don't work (eg. Twitter plug ins). I had to steal a Twitter plug in from Blogger! I'm sure Yola could create and brand its own basic plug ins, with a few tweaks of the HTML.
Support? Frankly, you folks couldn't get better. I'm constantly awed at your response times - and disgusted at the kiddies who throw a tantrum if their (free) Yola site goes down for five minutes.
Keep your wonderful services as they are. But offer an additional membership level as above - and charge us properly for it. You now have the reputation to command a premium fee. At least 10% of your user base would gratefully pay it.-
Hi Nigel. Thanks for the detailed and insightful feedback on how we can improve our product for those customers who are happy to pay a bit extra for quality. So when we released "Yola Silver" I guess you could see where we are going . . . Our plans are very much in line with what you suggest - to keep offering a great free service, but to also introduce some high end packages for those customers who are really serious about taking their site to the next level. The development of these packages is taking longer than we would like, but we are trying to really do our homework and release something truly spectacular. I have passed your suggestions on to our Product team so that they can get some idea of what people like yourself need and would be prepared to pay for. Of course I am flattered by what you have to say about our support - but I can let you in on a little secret - we do plan to release a premium support offering which will include phone support as part of our packages. We will keep offering the same level of awesome free support, but phone support is really expensive so we will need to make this "premium." You will be hearing more about these plans soon!

Hey everyone! Thanks, Nathan, for the AuthPro suggestion -- I checked them out and found a couple other similar ones, including one called Wild Apricot (wildapricot.com). But, I didn't really find one that I liked. Ultimately, I wanted to add a Facebook login to my site, because I didn't want people to have to re-sign up for yet another login system. So my friend over at LaunchBit (toolkit.launchbit.com) built a simple Facebook login system that I dropped into my site. It's free and you can check it out on my site here: alps.yolasite.com
Cheers!-
Thats cool! But, I think the on you found is paid and some people want free. Have you seen what I set up with Authpro? You can login here to see: http://authpro.com/auth/nathansmusics...

I've been using AuthPro on my Yola site for some three months. It works well. But you do have to tweak it, ingeniously. If you want it to work with a PayPal subscription scheme. And AuthPro is NOT big on customer support - unlike Yola :)
-
Hi, Yury K. (from authpro) gave me a lot of codes, but, you are right, they aren't that big. Like, he gave me a code where I can put on my homepage so I can put in "Hello, username" on there when they are logged in. I set up the divs and he gave me a code where I can make a div appear when they are logged in and then disappear when they are logged out and when they are logged out, it shows a "Welcome, Quest" and it has Sign in or Register. But, when they are logged in it shows the "Hello, username" and then it has "Logout" It is cool. Also, did you see how I customized the login form? I made up a CSS style sheet and then linked to it in the "Forgot password" box. Did you notice how the forms have a slight blue glow around them when you click on it? It is like Twitter forms, just I am working on fading int he border instead of just having it appear! That will be hard to do though! Also, did you see the Edit Profile page? I created the Delete account system and it is cool because when you click Delete account you have to confirm it with a check mark then a warning appears and the delete button gets enabled. Then once you click the delete button a lightbox pops up saying the last chance and you select Yes or No. If you select no the lightbox will close and if you select yes it will remove your account. So it gives you chances. I set that up with Jquery and JavaScript.
You can login here to see these features: http:/authpro.com/auth/nathansmusicstudio

Hi Yola.
I am looking to start building my self a site dedicated to my freelance webdesign. Thus having the ability to let customers login to "their" account is a core element to the site!
Many Yola users have been waiting for this feature for what feels like years!
Does Yola plan to develop this feature in the next 4 - 5 months, If not I will have too look at a more professional hosting package, which is a pity as I have Yola silver :( -
-
Try AuthPro. You can plug it in to any page on your Yola site or use it control access to your Home page. It gives you total subscriber control over who enters your site and also keeps out Google spiders that try to cache (ie. steal) your proprietary content.
I've been using it successfully for several months to protect one of my Yola sites that contains a lot of valuable proprietary material. Folk have to pay me to register an Authpro password before they can access the site.
It's not free but it's cheap: http://www.authpro.com/
You can see how it works by trying to access the Member area of my site at: http://www.gardeningguild.org-
@ Nigel, thanks for the great advice.
But... as I'll explain in my following post, is why I don't think I will use it. -

Nigel, actually Authpro has a free plan. I am on the Free Plan of Authpro and I built the following Member Protected System with the free one! I have the "Welcome <user>" on it and I have very, very cool edit profile forms, because they don't redirect to another page they stay on the same page and say "Your details have been updated!" and a bunch of cool effects I made using the Authpro website features and my JavaScript and jQuery knowledge. If you want any of the features on my site please do ask!
Here is the Members Area of my site: http://my.nathansmusicstudio.cz.cc/
You can either sign up or login with the Test Account (Login: Test Password: Test)
Be sure to click on Edit Profile on the side of the site and then type in any details you want and see how it works! You can even change the password if you want! (Especially if it is your account)
I put lots of time into it, and I hope you like it! But lately I haven't been working on it because I want to release my new Free Scripts & HTML Codes site next month (March) and I am really anxious to do so! I'll be sure to give everyone the URL to it when I am done!
Sincerely,
Nathan- view 3 more comments

Hi Amar
I haven't been worlking on my website building lately because I have been vey busy and I just got an iPhone and I've been laying around with that. I was planning on releasing it on April 15th but I didn't get to it.
I'll let you know when o release the site.
Sincerely,
Nathan -

Okay, will you post a new topic on the forum when it is done? I can't wait!

The main reason I am asking is because the way I would currently design this is:
You can have multiple password protected pages, and by asking the user to enter their user name, click login and, this redirect the browser to their secure page, where they are asked for their user name and password.
This is a long drawn out method and the user has little control over their account. So I don't want to build my site and put all this effort into it if Yola goes and builds a membership a few months later.
The reason I may also consider a more advanced hosting solution is for SSL security for online credit card payments. Though this is something I am only interested in much later!- view 1 more comment

@ Nathan
Thanks I will take a look at AuthPro.
Just would hate to do so much work, then to have Yola bring out their own membership system (which I am hoping will be more user friendly, have the Yola support behind it and secure for my clients)! -
-
No problem ;) Good luck on your site!

I can't wait until this idea is finalized and implemented because this would be an awesome feature.

Hello,
I am deleting your post so your personal email address is not on our forum, this is for your own safety. We will certainly announce if this feature is released! -

I would like to know whether Yola are going to implement this within the next 6 months?
I would really like a login system that is based on user Classes. A bit like the Moonfruit system. I previously used Moonfruit but it is rubbish compared to Yola but it did have a very good login system.
Kind Regards,

@Nathan: Not sure where you read that but we definitely do not have a date scheduled for this feature. If you could post the link to where you saw that I would be happy to clear things up.

I too remember seeing this posted somewhere on the forum recently. It said in the next 6 months.
I am wondering if there is a system where you can apply user classes, this system being free and easy to install? Maybe Pigs could fly :P

This is the determining factor for me, as my e-commerce model is based on paid membership.
I'm currently looking at other alternatives like SiteKreator. Anyone have any experience with it? -
-
I think, if it's pretty tricky to make membership like that, it would be really cool if people could log into your site with their Google/Facebook/Twitter account. PLEASE consider

Thanks for your input Ice Cream Kid. It is something we can pass on to our Product Team for consideration.

Hello Ice Cream Kid,
You could try some of the following:
Google Connect: http://www.google.com/friendconnect/
Facebook: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/p...
Facebook Login: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/a...
Twitter (More complex): http://apiwiki.twitter.com/w/page/225...
These are relatively easy to install (excluding Twitter).
You could also try a login system: http://www.authpro.com
Hope these help,

I think that I will be going with the auth pro, but before i spend hours getting this sorted I was just wondering if you had any form of time, this year or next? would really just like to keep everything within yola...but understand these things take time.
-
-
Hello Winter Ami,
I think that going with Auth Pro is your best bet right now as we cannot commit as to when this will take place. Thanks for letting us know though that this is a feature you'd like to see as well. -

Umm.. I think Yola ... must develop this thing first
Like several ppls mentions ...slight....
If this 'log in' - Id + password for those who want to be member of that site
(this membership system)
Basically, posting website is nothing that much...
Like even this site , If I want to ask/answer/post....etc... I need my id+ password
that way, one website - survives or go on
without this system, all things get messed up/ no-trust (credits)..and so on
especially, for business matter... how can people make deal ?? by asking phone?? ...it takes too much time...
on whatever reason... I think membership system is the most required options-
Hello doomcao,
Thank you for your feedback. We do not provide this feature yet, but we do hope to add it in the future. I'd like to paste Monique's original response when this question was first asked, as it is an excellent explanation as to why this feature is something that will take a long time to develop.
"The more complicated aspect of this feature is going to take much longer:
the ability for people to register on your site and be assigned their own username and password. We don't like to make promises we can't keep, so we will let you know when we have made a lot of progress on the feature and we are nearly ready to go live with it."
Andi also made some excellent suggestions, which you might want to try.
If you would like people to contact you for business deals, you could use a Contact Form, so they can send you their details and you could respond accordingly. If you want to implement an online store, you can use the PayPal widgets to create your online store and do transactions.
I hope this helps! -

Hi CasperQuids,
Unfortunately, we are not able to leave any kind of time frame as to when this will take place. Until then, you may want to consider using AuthPro. Please see this thread for more information on how to add this to your site. -

Hi
I would like to create a site, that would allow users to log into an account, and then add thier basic information, which would then be visable to other users.
How can I do this?
Thanks

((EVERYONE CAN DO IT!))
I have a great idea for members!
First, make another website just basic like somebody had said.
The homepage need to be locked, all pages. Then you make another page, must make. Name is " Logged in ". Remember! DO NOT lock that page.
After that you can be registrain form by Yola others feature you do like.
And homepage and the logged in page you created must be the same content whatever. If not some publishers members will know the trick.
After that, go to www.jotform.com and make the login form.
Then, you make user and password. Required, and if user is: (example) abc if password is (example) 123 then it will go to that link.
And then, the basic " Thank You " when submitted, you write User/Password error. Because if your customer enter the correct user and password, automatic with bring your customer to the account.
Ah! Forgot to tell that forms made by Jotform is FREE! UNLIMITED FORMS! Can have auto sending to the people who submitted, great idea to make Registerian form with jotform.
But remember, it worked like Yola login, but only for less members to login. Maximum site you can make it only 5, if you do like to upgrade. OK...
Want to see my login form?

I myself would like to see this added. It would actually make my website a lot better for those who have developed games and submitted them. They would be able to have profiles.
If I may make a suggestion, I believe you should allow the profile pages to be subdomains. For example - admin.games.jtylersarticles.org. -

I just wish that yola would release a system where you can create a whole user interface like there own pages which you can update... Like i own a business www.kimskins.com where i have alot of wholesale clients which i would love if they had there own wee page where they can see the status of their order or download there invoices stuff like that but i want them to also have there own log in which they choose not the current password protect thing which is only good if you have a private site or something otherwise its useless really!!
SO YOLA PLEAAASEEE!!!- view 2 more comments

I have set up a password protected website. But, I was wondering if there was a way to create different user names and passwords for different people, so that it is multi user?

For all of our awesome users who have implemented AuthPro, PoppyDog or any other membership login on their website, we would love for you to share your experience here. We really appreciate your feedback!

My experience with Poppy Dog was related to supporting a query that a user had and referred to their website. They had Poppy Dog installed on the query page as a security method. I noticed that the content momentarily flashed on screen before the lockout was effective. I repeated the entrance but interrupted the process with a combined CTRL+S. I was then able to access the secure content. Poppy Dog isn't secure

I need to set different passwords for different pages on my yola site. I can't seem to see how, but I need to know how. can anyone help? my yola site is on the free part, so can i even do so with a free site? please help.
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Can I set different passwords for pages on my site? If so, how can I?.-
Unfortunately you can't use different passwords for different pages of your site (free or paid for subscriptions) using the Yola Password Protection. You can select specific pages to protect with the one password.
Authpro.com is a system where registered users can gain access to a site or pages within a site. I don't know if you can set specific pages with different accounts though. Authpro.com has a free subscription service for up to 10 members then for more you need to have a paid subscription. My suggestion would be to try the free one if it interests you. You would then be able to find out if it suited your needs.
The person who has published the most stuff or protected sites and pages is Nathan Johnson. You may be able to contact him on this thread by leaving a post. I know he's a very busy person but may have the time to point you into a good direction. -
