Just saw that Google has a new search called Instant Search....What it does basically is that as you type you start to get search results right away.
I tried one of my keyword phrases that is on first page for search results and I saw my site come up several different times as I typed....I think this has made being on first page much more important as people may be more inclined to click on the first site that matches their search....Here is the link http://www.google.com/instant/#utm_ca...
Any thoughts concerning how this might help us to do better in searh results are welcome...I can also see this as not being a good thing for new sites.

Hey John,
Maybe I'm missing something. Are you talking about a dropdown that appears as you type in the search box? I seem to have had this feature for ages ??? -

Hey Boomer....This is a little different and I don't think available where you are just yet.....You get a drop down as you start to type but below that you start to see regular search results and they will change as you type....The goal is once you see what you want no need to keep typing. Such as searching....Travel South Africa...I have it showing in results by the time I type Travel South Af

I did read that it wasn't available here yet... that is why I was wondering.
So... I get the predicted text but not the search results... Oh well!
Anyway, why the heck would you want to search "Travel South Africa" ?
Just ask, and I'll give you a link to a good site ;-)-
cnet explains it better....http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-200...
