Is it possible to have no banner at all? Is it possible to have no navigation tabs?

There are styles available that have no banners - you can check out this style guide to find them: http://www.yola.com/yola-style-guide
If you would like to remove any navigation tabs, follow these steps:
1. Click on the "Edit Menu" button
2. Drag and drop all pages into the pane on the right (out of menu)
3. Click on ok
Your page will reload and your tabs will no longer appear.

Thanks - but if I have an image I want to make a banner size, can I do this please? All my images are too small when I upload and no facility to resize to fit banner. Many thanks, Sharon -
Picnik is integrated with Yola. If you select the image you want to edit, you should see an edit button. This will take you to Picnik. The other alternative is to go straight to Picnik and make a banner image there. As a word of caution.. it is best to start with a large image then downsize. If you try to enlarge from a small image, it will look grainy.

There are quite a few banner making programs on the Internet if you would like to create your own as littleus suggested. I have used a few programs which worked quite nicely if you would like to give them a try: Banner Fans and Banner Maker Pro, (this is not a free program, but they do have a free trial available).

If you make your own banner, make sure to look at the dimensions of the banner area of your style (this will be located in a white box in the banner area) so that you can create your banner to be the proper size.
Yola offers a selection of styles that allow you to change the banner image. If the banner image can be changed, you will see a white box with banner dimensions and a blue "change banner" box placed over the default banner image.
To change the banner image:
1. Click on the blue box that says "change banner".
2. A dialog box will open up that will allow you to browse your computer for an image or choose an image from the File Manager.
3. Once you select your image the banner editor will open up.
4. You will now be able to crop and resize your banner image.
5. Once done, click on OK and your banner image will be added to your page.
6. Click on "Save" for the banner image to be saved to your page.
Please note that the white box and the blue "change image" and edit image" boxes will only appear in editing mode, and will disappear when you preview or publish your site. Also, you may use the default banner image if you wish.
