password protect another page.
I have finally found a way or rather a script to password protect other pages on your yola site, the one yola provides means you have to have the same password detials for every page, this little script works with yola and you can password protect another page with different username and password, go tohttp://javascriptkit.com/script/scrip... for the script it works for me..I now have 2 password protected pages on my website.

Inappropriate?Just a warning William,
With these kinds of scripts, the password is viewable by looking at the page source.
I've used a similar script before. (If not the same one, I can't remember?)

wow, can they do the same with the yola password page??? -
I just checked the source page, and although it does give you the script it doesnt give you the username and password created for the page phew... -
On yours it does though :-( -
boomer your right. whats the point of that when someone can just view the page source and get all info from your page?? sounds idiotic.. -
hmmm i didnt realise. -
I also didn't think about the fact that the username and password would be available in the source code... that's a bummer, would have been prefect otherwise. Thanks for pointing that out Boomer :) -
yea, but let's face it... honestly... how many people will view the source to find a password and username? Probably only those experienced with web design. Your odds of that happening are slim.
I like the idea of different passwords on different pages! It makes personalizing things for people, you might even be able to give them the opportunity to "choose" their own password if you play it right.
Also, if the only people with the url already have a password and username, then there won't be any problems. If the url is freely provided, then there may be a slight security risk. -
Inappropriate?william this is a great find,
ive been playing around with it on my site.
Im gonna ponder on a way to make a membership feature out of this
Thanks William

u are welcome friend, have fun.. -
Inappropriate?Isn't there something to keep viewers from viewing your page source? I believe there is...
-
I have searched google and according to some"experts" there is NO way to hide the code if someone wants to see it, they will find a way, but there must be a code like the yola password sheet, were the viewer cannot see the username and password. -
Inappropriate?Just throwing this out there for ya William..it's a custom code that i've made:

dan I tried to upload the files as per your instructions but yola wont let me, its asking me to buy yola pro??? -
Hey William,
yes the files do require you to buy Yola Pro since you need to upload .htm and .js files
Sorryies :( -
did you recive my e-mail lambofgod?? -
Hey...sorry haven't gotten to a computer all day. I just replied to your email. -
yea, this is the precise reason I can't create a corner page peel... the only method I found requires a javascript file which requires pro. Can't wait til I can afford pro... I AM BUYING IT at some point! -
Hey William,
I'm sorry to disappoint you but I didn't know if you had Pro or not and if you do decide to upgrade you have a post to refer back to. -
Inappropriate?im kidding u mate its cool, thnaks anyway it was nice of u..
