I also think I leave off the site "The Plant Gallery is currently under construction"
I read an article a short time ago saying that site under construction may some time turn customers off to that site. the article also said that most sites are continuously "Under construction" and being updated. The customer if they like your site will come back to see if anything new as been added vs if construction been completed

are you looking at my old menu with large spaces or my new menu which is blue and yellow with just about no spaces? Or is it looking different for you than for me?

I'm looking at your new menu - blue and yellow. I understand about not wanting to scroll. However, just even adding one more space between the text would help the eye to read your menu better. You need to do what is right for you though. =)
