all the pages are updated with links now. next step is to put products on the new empty pages. thanks in advanced everyone -
Inappropriate?I think your site is very nice. Clean to the point and not confusing. I know what you sell and what you want me to buy.
-
thank you! -
Inappropriate? My I ask how long your site has been active? Only other suggestion is you might want to work on your keywords and backlinks.
Here's your keywords
Phrase Count Density
patterns 6 4.23%
stitch patterns 3 2.11%
patterns print 3 2.11%
cross stitch 3 2.11%
day crafts 2 1.41%
contact pay 2 1.41%
please contact 2 1.41%
stormy day 2 1.41%
cross stitch patterns 3 2.11%
please contact pay 2 1.41%
stormy day crafts 2 1.41
May want to change some of your titles for specific items
Example - Butterflies to Cross Stitch Butterflies
If I'm a cross stitcher I'm going to search for cross stitch patterns that I'm interested in - I'm going to type: Cross stitch wolf patterns
robot is going to read that as cross stitch wolf or stitch wolf patterns -
it has been active for 6 months i think. this is my first site experience and its has been an adventure. i had done everything by myself (not knowing anything) until i found this site. so the information you gave about the keywords helps tons. where do i find that info at? -
Thanks for the great tips Kj. -
Hi stormydaycrafts.com we have some tutorials about how to increase your visibility with search engines here: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/intro-t... -
Inappropriate? You have been a busy person! =) Wow.. it looks good!
Here are my suggestions:
1. Shipping Prices
- On your slideshow, I would suggest putting a # sign in front of your number.
- How do I pay? Paypal, money order? It would be helpful if you could include this information on your page
2. Pattern Categories
- Your page is still taking a bit of time to load. I noticed that you have your pictures scaled down to 68x72px. Your original size is 549x580px which is quite large. I would suggest that you resize them to about 200px or less, This will help to load your pages up faster. Also do this on the category itself.
- Also, you may want to consider making your images link rather than the text.
It's all coming together! =) -
i all ready resized all the in category pics. and i know i need to resize the category pics and i was going to take off the word links and just do the pics.
for the payment. thanks for that i spaced that part off. i will be sure to add that today.
i am still trying to find a slide that works well with the site this is just temp. it doesnt fit the theme, its bulky and it seems to take some time to load.
thanks for the feedback im going to be busy for awhile yet lol -
Just to clarify Stormy.. I mean to resize your original pictures. If your original picture is still large, it doesn't matter if you've resized on the builder. It will still cause the load time to be slow. The original ones are the ones that need to be resized to smaller size. I would say about 200px or less. Then, if you need to use smaller images, then you can just simply resize on your builder. I hope I make sense. -
Do you need help with the slideshow I created for you? -
i know what ya meant ;) i just did all that i resized all the pics on my comp took all them off the site then replaced with smaller ones.
so i should do that again and make the biggest 200px?
and that slide did not work. i copied it to the notepad then to the site and saved and previewed it and it didnt show so i published it and still nothing :( but i wanted to unclutter the menu and do a few other things that i felt needed to be done. but yes i would love help.
i am going to be resizing all the pics on the category page then put them back up. -
Yes... I would make the biggest 200px in your file manager. It'll make for a much faster loading time.
As for your slideshow... you need to make sure each http:// line is all one line. It should not look like this:
htpp://blahblahblah
blah blah blah
Let me know if this does the trick. -
all the pics are resized and i am in the process of redoing all 400 :( of them it may take some time but i will get it done!
i thought i did it that way but i sure can try again. as for where to find the http do i load the pic in its own window and use that?
thank you so much for all your help it has been great -
I have an idea... how about you give me the file names of the images you want to use in the slideshow. Then, I'll have it all set up for you on the test site. Then, hopefully, all you have to do is just copy it and paste into your site. Does that sound okay to you? Please be sure to include the path. E.g. stormydaycrafts.yolasite.com/file folder/image name.com -
i will send them in the a.m. i didnt get an email notice that i had a comment. so its almost 11p.m here and im beat. not to mention i now have half of the patterns page fixed yay
is this the kind of link you need (200px)
http://stormydaycrafts.com/resources/...
ps thanks bunches -
Yep.. that's what I need. I would suggest renaming them though without all those little dots. Just make them simple like 9anamifighter.jpg. Once you've figured out the ones you want to display, then just give me the file names here. -
or would just having the number be best, thats how i find them to put em' in usually. -
It's up to you.. whatever is easiest! =) Just without the dots..... =) -
Inappropriate?I keep two on my Mozilla browser "Quirk search status" http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus
and SEO for FireFox - it's a plug in if I remember correctly.
Great for not only assessing your site but that of your competition. You have to be careful how you use them. I only use them on a particular page, I don't turn it on and leave it on while I'm surfing - you will get banned from Google for doing that. -
thanks for the link. -
i got it but how did you find that info. is it under the keyword ones and what did you type in to get those? -
Inappropriate?Your site is very neat and easy on the eye - just the way I like my sites! Maybe you could jazz it up a bit with a few more photos of your patterns. A few more examples of your work on the home page (with a link to a payment page) would get immediate attention!
Your patterns are fantastic by the way.

Inappropriate?i just got the categories page finished... i hope. all the pics are resized and the names are unlinked. i hope this page now loads faster for everyone. please let me know what you think about it!
I’m tired
