I like your site a lot. The only think you might want to change is to reduce is the size of the picture on your homepage. Right now loading of this page is quite slow (at least here in China). Looking into the properties of this picture I found out the following: "2048px × 1536px (scaled to 438px × 329px)". This means you uploaded a really large picture an then scaled it down manually. You could easily resize your picture to 438px using the great online tool Picnik that comes with Synthasite. Just double click on the picture (which opens the file manager) and then click on "Edit With Picnik". Resizing the picture then is quite easy. When you are done the picture on your homepage will be the the same size as now but much more suitable for slow internet connections.
