Smarty Errors w/ Red Planet

Suddenly the site is back on, but pasted links are stubbornly the wrong color, suggesting style issues. I don't dare save in case it wants to revert.

I logged in to the development area just fine but when I opened the file I received several popup windows saying "Invalid component id 'I85'. Cannot find component HTML" And also the following 2 warnings:

The live site is working fine, just the development box that has a problem.

Is there anything I should do so that I can continue working on my site?

Hi again,

Well, 2 minutes later, the errors disappeared and I can now work on my site. It resolved itself. Maybe you guys should take a look at this problem?

I'm sorry for sending many reports here. I had problem again with smarty but now it occurred when I tried to preview the page (on development url). Here's the error message:

Okay, I'm giving up for now. I now also gave me errors mentioned on the first report. I couldn't work on my site.

So, please let me know what is going on and if there is anything that I should do to resolve this problem.

My live site is http://thaicookinghouse.com and is fine (last time I checked).

Niddy, it looks like we are using different templates. (By the way, I admire your site. I adore Thai food.) This rules out some of the simpler answers and suggests we need to hang on until the Synthasite people log on.

For the record: smarty errors are back by the dozen. My other two Synth sites I've checked seem fine. I saw this once before, a few months ago, and it cleared up before I could say a word. I'm going to play around and if I learn anything I'll post it here.

I'm frustrated too but I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

Niddy, what is the name of the style template you're using?

Niddy, my problems have gone away. I'd be curious to know if yours have.

If you are using a Mac too, try using your Disk Utility tool to do a repair of Disk Permissions. On my G4 iMacs, the priv/var/security permission tends to corrupt occasionally and interferes with the operation of certain sites, like Gmail and Synthasite's editor. If something within their server that would routinely self-correct every so often is incompatible with that permission being corrupted, it might explain the problem. But I'm no expert, I'm just offering what I have until the brains arrive.

I'm using Red Planet template but I overwrote some CSS attributes to get to what I want. I created a file called screen.css and put it in the resources folder. Then I load the file in very page. You are welcome to look at the source code.

Yes, the problem went away again. I don't know what is going on because it only affects the development box. Anyway, have to wait for the expert. :)

Hello,

I noticed that when I got smarty warnings, the problem would stay for about 20 minutes or so, then it would somehow correct itself. Then I could work on my site for awhile about 45 minutes. Then the same problem shown up again.
