Spacing Help
Single Space:
How can I get single spacing? I am trying to list names of members, with a single name on each line but I don't want a double space between lines. When I type a name and hit return, it always gives me a double space.

Inappropriate?u cant try putting it in html instead of text. heres an example:
<!--
John<br>Mathew<br>Luke<br>Jane.-->
Try that and see if you like it. but without the exclamation mark
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Try 'Remove Formatting' or make a new text box without any formatting.
You could also check the html of the text box, are member names seperated by or
? In that case, you need to replace and
with
and . I'd advise copying and pasting the html into Microsoft Word and finding & replacing p with br.
Hope this helps. -
uhhh, u know u just made no sense right? -
Inappropriate?hmm. it cut out the < /br > and < p >. odd
-
Inappropriate?yea cause ur supposed to put it like this <!-- your html goes here -->`or else the html will be activated. See you learned something:-)
I’m amused

yeah, annoyer is correct. Get Satisfaction reads HTML.. -
Inappropriate?Hi Brenda,
annoyer and skinnyeddy are right - you can use HTML to edit the spacing of your text.
If you're typing into a new text widget, it shouldn't become double-spaced - if it is, could you let me know which style (template) you're using and browser (eg Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 3 etc)?
If you copied the text from another source (like a Word doc) and pasted it into the text widget, this can add hidden formatting issues to the page, like double-spacing. We recommend that you first paste the text into something like Notepad and then copy and paste it into your text widget.
Hope that helps!

Inappropriate?I've been having the same issue. I either copy/ paste it into Notepad or type it directly into the text widget. It always looks single spaced on Synthasite, but on the website it appears either single or double, depending on the mood of the spacing gods...
I’m sad

Inappropriate?Hello,
If this is in a text box could you try clicking on the little html icon on the edit bar. The ones that are double spaced look like they are in paragraph format which is designated like this in html < p >. Please take a look and see if the ones that look like they are double spaced begin with something like this < p > and end with < / p >. If they do, you could take it out and then it will look like the others.
Let me know if that makes any difference.
