Sub-menu and Picture gallery
I got two questions.
Can I create a sub-menu?
I mean, on the site, there is bar at the top where people browse pages, is there a way to do a second one, in a page?
Also, how can I do a picture gallery? (as on eBay)
Thanks everybody!
,Nikola

Inappropriate?hello Nikola,
Creating a second menu is not a problem.
It would be primary page dependant? (meaning that if you clicked on an item of the primary menu, it would take you to that group main page and on that you would have another specifically related menu?
The menu that's auto built is non-interactive and I mean you can't ad drop downs or other funtionality.
The first thing to do is to create you main pages and include these in the auto-menu.
The way to check this is to have a look at the "edit Menu" field at the upper part of the page;

when you click this another box will appear with two headings. make sure the menu items mentioned are all "In the Menu"

now the next part is where you create your submenu for say Group A.
Go to your group A page. Make a list of all the submenu items needed appropriately placed on your page. Say a1, a2, a3. this is best done using a "text widget." that you drag from the Contents sidebar of the builder.
Create a new page and call it a1. make sure the check box is unchecked for "Show in Navigation". click OK and a new page called a1 is created and doesn't appear in the main menu.

Now come down to the list of sub-menu itmes that you have previously put on your page. Highlight the item "a1" by right clicking and dragging your mosue over the title. If you look towards the upper part of your page you will se the text menu has appeared, Please click the the little chain icon as shown in the next image.

The link editor dialogue will open. The top item is the link facility we use for this. Click the ellipse on the RJHS of this line and you will see a page called "a1" within the list. Click it and it's name will be carried into the link field. Click OK. You have just successfully made the first item of a submenu in your first group.

Simply repeat this for all other items (a2, a3 etc) for this main grouping.
Now continue with the secong groupings etc until your completed.
At the end of this procedure you will have your main menu appearing on all pages and your Group specific menus only appearing in your relevant main group pages.
PS: If any image is too small to see click it and it will expand.

Peter: Thanks for the great tutorial! -
Inappropriate?Great! Thanks a lot Peter!
P.s.: So there is no way to make it automaticly? (as for the principal page browser)
Also, for the picture gallery, any idea?
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Hi Nikol,
No there's no automatic shortcut.
There are shortcuts within this outline though If you would like me to add more convenience factors I can. i didn't want to overwhelm you with detail.
The picture gallery can be done. can you get a screen shot of the way you would like to present it as I know ebay/payPal have a few different presentations.. All achievable visually with Yola. Functionally a little bit more of a challenge -

Okay
"There are shortcuts within this outline though If you would like me to add more convenience factors I can. i didn't want to overwhelm you with detail."
Well, nothing specific. Just a possibility of creating a sub-menu

Can you publish a reference link here of exactly what you would like/ We will be able to give you pretty straightforward methods to follow. Just need to know exactly the way you envisage it. -

In the shop, to add a sub-menu depending of the mechanism the puzzle
(A page for 3x3x3 variations, one for customs, one for skewbs, etc (I know the names and the products tell you absolutely nothing ^^)) -
I think what Peter is asking is have you seen a picture gallery that you like? If so, where is this picture gallery so that we can better help you attain the picture-gallery you would like. -
Inappropriate?Oh ok.

Inappropriate?Okay.. that is helpful Nikola. Thanks!
Personally, I like to use JAlbum and then I integrate it into my website using an iframe. JAlbum is free to use. If you wish to download their program, you can get it at: http://jalbum.net/software/download;j...=162rneqbdyy8z
If you want to see an example of this photo gallery, you can take a look at mine: http://littleus.synthasite.com/pictur...
The nice thing about JAlbum is that there are tons of different ways of setting up your album.
I'm sure that others will chime in to give you their ideas as well.
I hope this is a step in the right direction! -
Inappropriate?Hi littleus, Just curious, which template are you using ?
