Inappropriate?Hello Rizan,
I know that you can fix this effectively very easily.
Could you show us your URL so that we are working from the same idea?
On this you can be very confident! -
Inappropriate?Thank you Peter http://sitebuilder.yola.com/ide/index...
I've read through help topics and cant get this function to work, your help is appreciated. -
Inappropriate?Hi Rizazn,
Can I ask you to publish your site.
Go to "update my site".
If you don't want it to remain published you can unpublish later.
I can't see your site as it is. -
Inappropriate?OK,
To make subpages :
Create a "new page" and deselect the check mark of "Show in navigation"
Give your page a name. It's usually easier if you give your page a single word name, and I tend to use lower case characters for all names of files, links, pages, the works simply because this can be critical in some areas and not others. If you get into this habit then you never really have to work it out.
Create the content of your page and then save it.
Now go back to the page that your directing the sub-page from. For the sake of this exercise add a title of the new page as a text item. You can do that easily by adding a text widget. Type in any appropriate title you like. Highlight that text and click the link icon. (it looks like a chain link in the text menu bar) a dialogue box will open with a number of options. Select a link to a page. Click the elipsoid box and all your pages will be displayed in a scrolling list if it's bigger than the working pane. Select your page that you created for the item. OK. Your done.
You can then simply repeat this process for all other salads or whatever.
Please get back to me if there is something I haven't effectively described or that you don't understand.
Peter

Peter, what if I want to create a page within a subpage? Is this possible here? -
Hi Grace,
Yes. It's really no different. I have never explored the level that you can go down to but I think I've done it down to three levels without problems. -
One thing I don't know is the issue, if any, of SEO with sub-subpages. I wonder if the sitemap gets lost within multiple levels.
Maybe Yola people can answer this? (if they're looking :( ) -
Thanks Peter....All my pages have their own independent pages. I want some of them to become subpages of a particular page. -
Inappropriate?That's a great idea Grace.
Your site is easily navigable and I think that to do this makes it even easier for your new readers to be able to find their way around.
-
i already thought about that way back then before i published my site but i couldn't find a way, so i just made them as like that. Hope this page within a page is possible at Yola.. -
It sure is Grace.
I think it would also give you a chance to showcase some of your creativity as well with buttons and more backgrounds The "features" to some extent will become your page designs and enhancements.
I am really looking forward to what you come up with -
I have so many ideas on how i make my site more appealing and more convenient but you know, my knowledge about html/css code is really limited...LOL! But i recommend to all our co-members to learn and study more about these codes because these are really edge in web building... -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the response Peter, I will give it a go.
-
Inappropriate?Peter, I have tried your suggestion as a matter of fact thats what I was trying from the start but, still no success......
My site should be published by now its food4memories.com
If you look for instance under eggs, I have two recipes but, when i click on the name nothing happens.......what am I doing wrong!
-
you have made the text into a link but you have linked it to the page its on - thats why it feels like its not doing anything.
Read Peters tutorial again.
1. make a new page & name it chakshoka - set it not to show in menu
2. go to that eggs page - highlight the text and press the link button.
3. choose from the page menu the new page, chakshoka
4. save publish and test.
You are almost there just the link is going to the wrong page
good luck
