So here I was today waiting for Commission Junction an affiliate marketing website to send me my forgotten password and low and behold when I signed in for the fist time in a very long while I saw something which placed a very big smile upon my face...
Our beloved YOLA was a new Advertiser... Meaning that if you sign up for this wonderful company called Commission Junction and have your website approved then you can place a YOLA ad upon your site and earn a commission whenever one of your visitors who click through to YOLA and purchase a domain name ($7), remove the YOLA footer ($3) or purchases a private registration ($3)
To explain my smile being from ear to ear is an understatement as only today I was heavily debating as to whether or not place a Godaddy or Yahoo ad upon my new website relating to website building (Sorry still secret squirrel stuff) because I needed to monetize the site to earn monies to build playhouses as I promised at least 4 in the 2010 calendar year for charities to auction off to feed the children and elderly of the Puget Sound (Seattle area)
As I have on so many occasions shown loyalty to YOLA in all my postings I wanted to include to my "Lets keep YOLA competitors from appearing in adsense ads placed in our sites."
thread to include this little gem...
1) Go to http://www.cj.com/ and sign up for a free account
2) Once approved sign in
3) Click the "YOLA" link in the new Advertisers section or click the "Get links" tab and search for YOLA in the search box and click on the only result
4) Tick the box and click the "Apply to program" button
Once instantly approved
5) Click the YOLA link and an "advertiser details" page will appear
6) Click "Banner", "Text link" or "Keyword Link" depending on requirements
For a banner:
A) Find the ad you would like to place on your website and click on it
B) Click the "Get javascript" or "Get HTML" button
C) Tick the Encrypt link, Set link to open a new browser window or Hide tracking code in link boxes depending on your preferences.
D) Click the "Highlight code" button below then right click and "Copy" the highlighted code.
For a text link:
A) Find and click on the text link you want to place on your website
B) Click "Get javascript" or "Get HTML"
C) Tick the Encrypt link, Set link to open a new browser window or Hide tracking code in link boxes depending on your preferences.
D) Click the "Highlight code" button below then right click and "Copy" the highlighted code.
For a keyword link:
A) Click the only one provided
B) Click the "Get HTML" button
C) Tick the Encrypt link if you like
D) Click the "Highlight code" button below then right click and "Copy" the highlighted code.
7) Open your site builder
8) Drag an HTML widget onto your page and paste the copied code within and press "OK"
Your new YOLA banner ad, text link or keyword link will appear...
Finding this little baby made me instantly delete my Yahoo and Godaddy relationships with my other 2 affiliate networks. Why have them I thought when we have the ability to help YOLA and earn a little in the process. Pretty freekin awesome right? ;)
Happy site building and I would highly recommend to those many users who follow my each and every thread to look into this as a great way to show loyalty and earn something in the process.

Maybe it could be that I was already a member for the last year.
I can't imagine that they would change it within days. YOLA's plan is to make money through those ads placed on our sites and the more ads they have floating around the web the more opportunities they and we have to profit.
I think it's great they are willing and able to split that first years sign up commission with us. I sincerely hope that those who sign up through those ads become lifelong members and renew their domains annually to offset that initial split that YOLA had to incur.

Inappropriate?I agree 100% Ed and i am very impressed with Yola so far . I think it is much more flexible than some of the other web-builder sites like Word Press and perfect for folks just getting started .
I did get accepted with Kontura so i will see what i can do with that .
