Inappropriate?Hi Ron,
Unfortunately thats not possible. You would need to create your website in the account its going to be maintained in.
Please feel free to email me should you have any other questions.
Have a great day!!

Inappropriate?i accidentally deleted my synthasite account. do you have it? can you send it to me again???
I’m frustrated
-
Hi aj. I am sorry to hear that. If you really deleted your account there is no way to recover it. You would have clicked on a red box and seen a warning message telling you that your details and any sites you created would be permanently deleted from our system. What you could do is email support@synthasite.com with your account details and we could check whether you really deleted you account or not. I hope it is still there! -
Inappropriate?it is a year since this question was asked... is it now possible to transfer a website to another account? i maintain a website for a specific group. i will not be able to do so in the future, so I need to allow someone else to access my site. however, i have other sites that i do not wish someone else to access. is this possible at all??? or will i have to delete my other sites??? ((which will make me extremely dissatisfied with yola!))
while we're on the subject, how do you download your site from synthasite???
I’m extremely irritated, annoyed, and confused with yola/synthsite

Inappropriate?Hi Olivia,
Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to transfer a website to another account. If you provide people with your login details then they will be able to see all of the sites in your account.
We recommend that if you are building sites for other people, that you do it in a separate account.
Do you wish to download your site and host it elsewhere?
To host your site yourself:
1. Click on the drop down arrow next to the yellow "Publish my Site" button.
2. Click "Publishing Settings"
3. In the publishing settings dialog box, click the "Download site zip" button You will then be able to download your site as a zipped file and you will be given the following instructions:
Hosting with your own service provider:
Copy the site to the webroot of a php 5.2.x enabled web server
* Ensure that the "classes/work/templates_c" directory is writable by the web server (chmod 777 classes/work/templates_c on Unix / Linux boxes).
* Ensure that your host supports Sqlite3 if you have a blog on your site.
Please note that if you elect to host your site elsewhere, we can only support you with the process of creating your site, and downloading it. Thereafter all support relating to the hosting of your site will become the sole responsibility of your service provider.
The site you built will always be available in your Yola account for editing and updating even if you download your site as a zipped file and host it elsewhere. However, to put your changes live you would need to re-download your site and re-upload it to the servers of your hosting provider each time. If you host your site with us (either using a free subdomain or a domain of your own) you can update it with a single click - so it is a lot easier to make changes.
For additional detail, see:http://www.yola.com/customer-support/p/publishing-domains/search-results/download-your-site-and-host-it-elsewhere/8/0/139
Please let me know if I have misunderstood this part of your question.

Inappropriate?thank you. you understood my question well. I have just one more question; if I delete a site on yola, and it has already been published, does it stay published? I still need to allow others to access my account, but there are several finished sites that i am willing to delete if i can still look at them online, if not edit them... do you follow? So again, if I delete a site on yola, and it has already been published, does it stay published? Thanks!
I’m happy that my question got answered so quickly and am starting to understand

Hi Olivia,
If you delete the site then it will un-publish. So if you want the site to remain live on the Internet it you wouldn't be able to delete it.

Inappropriate?hmmm..... any suggestions as to how to solve my dilemma?
I’m hopeful but wondering if my situation is unsolvable and i shall have to continue updating the website myself indefinitely...
-
If the website is not too large, and you have the time, then one option would be to create a new account and rebuild the website. That way you'll be able to hand just that site over to someone else.
I wish I had a better answer for you. -
Inappropriate?thats ok... thanks. i may rebuild the other websites. do you know if there is any way i could record the websites, like a screenshot or something, so that I could create a new account with the websites exactly the same? thanks.
I’m resigned to rebuilding/deleting... the website i maintain is far too big too rebuild in a new account

Inappropriate?Hi Olivia,
You could save each of the pages individually, somewhat like images. If you did this you wouldn't be able to view your site as it would normally function on the Internet, such as navigating between pages, clicking on links, and scrolling up and down a page, but it would give you a way to show the pages of your site without the site being published, or the viewer needing an Internet connection.
If this is something you would like to do:
1. Right click on your home page
2. Click Save Page As
3. Give the file a name, location (such as a disk or desktop), and depending on your system you will choose Web Archive or Completed Web Page
4. The page will now be a saved file
5. You will need to repeat this process for each page of your site that you want saved
Another option would be to take a screen shot of each of your pages saving as an image to your disk.
This may not be exactly what you had in mind, but we're hoping these suggestions will help you.
-
Inappropriate?ok, thank you. I think I will do as you suggest, but one last question- how do you take a screenshot? something i never learned to do..
I’m okay
-
Hi Olivia,
There are two ways to do a screenshot.
First Option: press "Prnt Scrn" on your keyboard. This will instantly copy the whole screen.
Second Option: (this only works if you have Microsoft Onenote) Hold the windows button and the letter S at the same time. Then hold and drag your mouse to the area you want to copy on your screen.
I hope this helps.

Inappropriate? Thanks Ellie for your help! =)
Here is some more information:
When you are on the screen you want to capture, press shift and the printscreen button together. The picture will be saved to your computer clipboard. After you press printscreen, open a program like Microsoft Paint, right click and paste. This should paste the screenshot and you should then be able to save it as a .jpeg file and attach it to an email.
If you are a Windows Vista user, they have a neat little program called "Snipping Tool". It's found under your Accessories on your start menu. Just click and drag over the area you want to save as a screen shot.
Here's a thread on what other people have used as well:

Inappropriate?ok i thought i was alright... and then i realized there is no print screen button on a mac... i could do it on a school computer but i'd rather not. suggestions?
