What is SynthaSite's policy regarding domain names?
Do we have our own domain name? Does SynthaSite give you a free domain name? Do we receive a subdomain? Or do we simply have a really long URL. OR will Syntha Site charge a minimal fee for registering a domain name.

Thanks again Wayne.
Hi Yianne - thanks again for your question. In addition to Wayne's response, I'd like to mention that our engineering team is currently building out a solution that will allow you to register a new domain through us, or transfer your existing domain to us to manage for you.
This should really simplify things for our users.
The fees for this service will be minimal (we're expecting a target price of $9.95/.com domain name for a new registration).
We don't have a definite date set for this new feature, but definitely within the next 3 months.

Inappropriate?Hi Ylanne,
SynthaSite will give you a free sub-domain, such as http://yourname.synthasite.com. This can be done through the SynthaSite editor itself via the "Publish" utility.
Other options include:
- Pointing your own existing domain to your SynthaSite website (full instructions are provided on the Publish screen within the SynthaSite editor).
- Or you can download the complete site yourself if you have another web host and host your site there.
If you do choose to host your own site then please note you will not be able to edit the site directly on your own host. If you want to make changes you will need to come back to the SynthaSite editor, make changes, then export your site again and re-upload it to your web host.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Wayne
P.S. Is "SynthaSite" an official term yet? I.e. "Check out my new SynthaSite!". Kinda catchy :-)

Inappropriate?Hi Wayne
Thank you for your thorough and useful answer.
I like to use synthasite/s to refer to sites created with our site builder, and SynthaSite to refer to the company. Let's see if it catches on!
I’m thankful

Subdomain names are free. If you want a custom domain, it needs to be purchased through a domain name registar, but this is a once of fee and you can still host your site with us for free. I am sorry about the confusion. -
Inappropriate? If you want a proper domain you could try out http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
it gives you a free 'co.nr' domain name.
I use it for my Synthasite (I agree, very catchy :D) http://www.skinnyeddy.co.nr
I’m excited

Great tip! Thank you.
