Inappropriate?Hard choice but I think the one on your test site.
Why? maybe for me it is free. Sort of reflects the spirit of the children. -

Inappropriate?Tough decision! I think they both look good and the customized buttons on your site are great. Usually I prefer a horizontal navigation for blogs but I think you've worked with the design on your site to be able to use the left navigation. Your own buttons also personalize the style a lot more which makes it look more individual.

Inappropriate?I like A better. It has more individuality. However, in the end, you are the one who needs to update and care for it, so you need to chose the blog layout that you love the most.
