Yola based websites vs spyware and viruses

Considering that many hiring managers are wary (maybe too much) about clicking on links directing them to personal websites (where many of us job seekers are trying to leverage our job search by relying not only our resume) because of the fear of "spyware and / or viruses", Is there some feedback I could get from you as to how to handle efficiently this obstacle and generate more traffic to my personal website?

How could I guarantee that my website is safe? Could Yola create something like a "Safety Seal"

Thank you for your thoughts about this subject I'm particularly interested in.

Good evening. Thanks for your replying. In fact, I already have my personal site on Yola where I've summarized my professional profile as a financial analyst.

Right now, I'm focusing not only on promoting my page but to figure out how to invite recruiters too much wary about visiting external personal sites because of viruses which of course is not the case.

I don't know of a way to guarantee safety, but Yola sites are safe.

Good evening. Thank you for your kind reply. Please allow me to add some additional comments:

Talking about online safety on Yola sites, allow me to talk about a suggestion of mine to Yola: How about if you could add at the bottom of every template / site something like a legend or message for readers warning them about Yola's policy as a reliable platform to confirm its reliability by not letting readers being spammed or exposed to viruses while visiting our pages?

Being the "guarantee" I was talking about, it looks to me that it could give some advantage to Yola by clearly endorsing online security on its platform and therefor, on our sites.

As to promoting my site although I already follow your recommendations and including my site on Google and Yahoo, I'll review the link you kindly suggested me and complete the process on MSN.

Hi there Mario,

I am not sure if this is quite what you are looking for, but Yola has recently integrated with Truste .
Truste is a privacy policy that builds online trust between websites and consumers... Is this what you are wanting? (there is more info on their FAQ page - FAQ)

I would suggest going to their site and checking it out and if this is what you are wanting on your site you can add it as follows:

1. Click on the Widgets folder in the content sidebar on the right hand side of your page..
2. Drag and drop the Truste widget onto your page.
3. Click on the Truste.com link on the bottom right of the dialog box that opens.
4. You'll be directed to a new web page where you need to fill out the form provided and follow the steps until the process is complete and payment is made.
5. Truste will provide you with HTML embed code that you can paste in the dialog box provided. Click on "OK" and the Truste badge will be displayed on your site.

I would recommned buying a top level domain i.e. yourname.com (i'm not trying to see you something, i dont work for Yola) They always seem to me to be more safe.

Also once your site is listed with search engines (google for sure) your anti virus software checks sites for you, i have never looked into it but once checked perhaps you could go to the software site and get some kind of checked badge.

Lee...McAffee has Site Advisor browser addon that millions use and you get a rating next to sites as they come up on a search page....If you install it on your browser just visit your published site home page.If you use Firefox you will see a McAffee Badge at the bottom right...click it while on your home page and it will que your site for testing....This is free and you don' have to have McAffee virus protection on your computer to use it....Norton has Safe Web for this but only Norton users with versions 2009 forward have it available to them.
