Inappropriate?Hi Craig,
I'm sorry you are having this problem. Can you tell me exactly when the site builder performs slowly for you. Does the problem exist:
1. When you are editing your site and adding various widgets or
2. When you click the Update Site button
Can you also tell me browser and operating system you are using as well as if you have any custom html on your pages.
Please let me know and I will assist further.
Kind Regards,

Hi Emmy!! Yola is been fine for me for the past month!! Just today its been very very slow!!
Firstly when i go onto www.yola.com its fine, but as i click on 'open' to edit a site that i have, its takes minutes to load the first page and then minutes to open other pages to edit within the site!!
The site doesnt open correctly aswell!! loads up as text screen 25% of the time?
Just within the last 10minutes, nothing has been loading up as i click the 'open' button on a site that i wish to edit and
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
More information
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view.
That appears!!!
I'm on Internet Explorer and using Windows XP!
Thank you for helping me

Inappropriate? Thanks for providing that information Craig!
Could you do the following for me, please:
* Check to see if you are having problems with your network or internet service provider.
* Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: Clear your browser's cache.
* Check your privacy settings. You must accept cookies from Yola. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.
* Check that your browser is set to enable Javascript. This link has more information on how to check: Enable Javascript.
* Try loading the site in a different browser (eg. Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). We would suggest using the Firefox browser as this browser seems to work best in the Yola environment. It is a free download if you would like to give it a try: Download Firefox.
* Try loading the site on a different computer or network if possible.
If none of these suggestions solves your problem, please let me know.

Inappropriate?Hi Craig ...
I have been using SynthaSite for quite a while ... and I agree with you. Since the change to Yola, it has been all down hill.
Sad, really as I liked using SynthaSite.
Am really considering a migration to some othe host as this 'slowness' has been going on for quite some time. It might be my connection, I agree. Or it might be that I'm not up to date on the latest processor.
Be that as it may, have tried using IE and also Google Chrome and I'm about to give up.
Hope this is a temporary problem, although I doubt it.

I’m disappointed

Hi Salemlights
I would encourage you to follow the steps Emmy gave above. This often resolves the problem for many users since the Yola transition. -
Also try downloading Java it increases the load speed for me

Inappropriate?I can only speak for myself but I have not had any problems with Yola.
Site update is a little faster in fact and I think Yola made a few tweaks to make it run a bit better...I checked out thejumpingfrog on 4 different browsers and the pages all load very quickly.
I’m confident
-
me 2 update is runs instantly now, not like before -
Inappropriate?Yola's builder is back up to speed and the published sites are fine.
Thanks Yola Team! -
Thanks for the feedback! We are making continual improvements, and you should expect to see performance getting steadily better, not worse. There might be the odd bump in the road while we get where we want to be, but we are monitoring performance 24 hours a day and if there are any significant issues our engineers will be all over it. -
Inappropriate?Yola/site builder really slow....is it just me? I've cleaned my cache, signed out and run ccleaner, still slow at least for me!
-
Hi Rizan... nice to see you back =) It's been awhile!
Anyway.. I have not noticed any slowness on my end. Are you using IE or FF? Also, depending on how much content you have on your site may affect the speed. -
Inappropriate? Thanks lu, I am using both IE and FF. It has been awhile...burn out I think! :o)
-
Awww.. I don't blame you Rizan! Did you ever get that sorted out with the template banner and the fonts? I hope so! I'm not sure what to suggest about the slowness as I'm not experiencing it on my side. It may be just your ISP? Is this on a particular page or through-out your site? Do you notice the slowness with other websites? -
Inappropriate? No still working with Marije trying to figure it out the banner issue! It has speeded up a bit, maybe my internet provider. Hope all is going well with your site, any sales yet??

Inappropriate?I have only started using Yola a week ago and find the system extremely slow when uploading pics. In fact the upload dialogue does not close automatically when the progress bar shows the upload as completed.
Yesterday I added a page of products with 5 images each about 150 x 200 pixels. Today I tried to edit the page further but after waiting for about 30 mins I gave up - the page was not ready for further editing.
Any suggestions other than the ones given earlier in this thread?

Inappropriate?Hello barbarossaSA,
I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem and would like to help get it worked out. Could you do the following for me, please?
1. Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: Clear your browser's cache.
2. Try loading the site in a different browser (eg. Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). We would suggest using the Firefox browser as this browser seems to work best in the Yola environment. It is a free download if you would like to give it a try: Download Firefox. Even though we find Firefox to work best, we can support you with another browser if you choose to use a different one.
Can you tell me your url, I would like to take a look at your site and see if that gives me some more suggestions for you.
Kind Regards,
Emmy
