400: Nameserver [ns1.websitename.co.uk] is missing or unknown IP address

Hi,

Iv been having sooo much trouble just trying to get me dns sorted out, but keep on getting the 400 error,

i know it should be:

Nameserver 1: ns1.freehostingking.co.uk 31.170.163.241
Nameserver 2: ns2.freehostingking.co.uk 64.191.115.234
Nameserver 3: ns3.freehostingking.co.uk 173.192.183.247
Nameserver 4: ns4.freehostingking.co.uk 83.170.93.81

but i can never set it, am i doing somthing wrong?

someone please help me out :(

Are you wanting to change the nameservers on your domain?

If you are can you please tell us what your domain is and then we can make the changes for you.

Thank you for your domain name.

We checked it and the way you added the nameserver records were done correctly. However, it had not been updated on the domain itself. We were able to do this manually.

Please allow up to 48 hours for this change to happen.

Hi Nazlie,

thanks for you help, but there is a problem, by mistake i put wrong NameServer, all the Name servers are ending with ".co.uk" not ".com"

I was wondering if you could please Change them again for me ? as when I try to change them myself I get an error now.

We have done the change as you requested. Please allow 24 hours or so for the changes to take effect.

Please check that the IP address for ns1.freehostingking.co.uk is 31.170.163.241, as it is showing an error.

Hi Nazlie, I checked with My hosting provider, and being confirmed that IP address are right, to be honest am so confused and frustrated now and dont know what to do :S

Are you still unable to resolve the name servers for your domain? I have been helping you with this via email support, but I was not aware that it is not yet resolved.

I checked the name servers today and I see that it is now set to:

  • ns1.main-hosting.com 31.170.163.241

  • ns2.main-hosting.com 64.191.115.234

  • ns3.main-hosting.com 173.192.183.247

  • ns4.main-hosting.com 83.170.93.81



This differs from the name server details you provided previously.

If you would like to change or check the name servers, you may do so from within your Yola account. Here are the steps to follow:


  1. Log into your Yola account.

  2. Click on Domains > Advanced settings. You will see the domain settings screen displayed.

  3. Click on the "Change name servers for freehosting.co.uk"

  4. Enter the name server name in the "Name" field.

  5. Add the IP address for the name server in the "IP Address" field.

  6. Click on "Additional Name Servers" to add more name servers or to check the details of the other name servers.

  7. Click on "Update name servers". This will save the changes.



Let us know if you have any further problems and provide us with the details of what is not working.
