Hi...I have just checked my site http://www.westseas.com google web tools and the web crawl shows a 404 url not found on one of my pages....can someone kindly explain how I can rectify this...if at all.

The problem they say is with http://www.westseas.com/lisbon-coast.php

Have I left a dead link on the page or something similar? It's on both my recently purchased domain and the original synthasite.

Hi Mark,

The page http://www.westseas.com/lisbon-coast.php doesn't appear to exist because when I click on it I get a 404 error. Did you have this page at one time and then delete or rename it? If you could give me some history on that page I will try to help.

Thanks,
Emmy

Hi again Emmy I changed the page name to this http://www.westseas.com/lisbon-and-co... as you can see it's similar to http://www.westseas.com/lisbon-coast.php but with the "and" in between.

Can you help?

Hi Mark,

If you've removed the 'dead link' then the next time Google crawls your site the error message will no longer show. If it does, it could be because it's in more than one place on your site. You will need to replace all links to the page /lisbon-coast.php with /lisbon-and-coast.php.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
