.htaccess issue

I downloaded my Yola site so that I could upload using FTP to a host. I get an error..500 Internal Service Error, and it states that it's due to a malfunctioning .htaccess file. The host has an automatic fix, but it did not work. The file I found in the Yola directory is below. The fix placed a # before the word Options in the fist line.

Apparently there is a conflice with the host's rules, but those are not explicit. I'd appreciate any ideas on how to fix this.

Just so you know, I'm not savvy with the code, but I feel comfortable making the file changes and re-uploading if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine on
#RewriteRule robots\.txt robots\.txt\.php [NC,L]
RewriteRule ^(router\.inc\.php|resources|templates|classes|definitions) - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ router.inc.php/$1

Hello John,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with that. This is a question that needs some engineering assistance so I have requested one of our engineers to take a look. When we have more information on what might be happening, we will post back here. Thanks so much for your patience while we look into this.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

I think I may have fixed the .htaccess problem, but now I get these errors. They all appear to be associated with the Common.inc.php file. The file's original author had a synthasite address, with first name Stefan. Perhaps Stefan, if he's still there, can help. Thanks.

One of engineers has agreed to take a look at this for you. However, he says he would prefer to do so via a private email as you may need to disclose some account information that should not be shared publicly. Would you mind dropping us an email at support@yola.com about this. Mark it "attention Monique" and I will make sure that the right person gets it.
