"Screen Capture" utility.

It's very nice to be able to display your problem here on GS:Synthasite and it makes visualising the problem or describing a solution easier. There are a few ways to do this including the first principle approach: ie. Clicking the "prt scr" button, then pasting the captured image into MS Paint, editing the image file and adding the image to your question.

I came across MWSnap a small Windows program for snapping (capturing) images from selected parts of the screen. Installation is simple and it doesn't contain any dll's to interfere with other programs.

It's capable of capturing the whole desktop, a highlighted window, an active menu, a control, or a fixed or free rectangular part of the screen. It provides choices of graphic formats and several graphical tools.

I don't know how it compares to other free screen capture programs.

if you have Vista - press the windows key then type; snipping (its a built in screen capture)
