As my yola site (http://paradisefound.yolasite.com/) has now been down since 'The Outage' I was wondering if anyone else could see my site or I am totally wasting my time ?

Hi Paradise

I changed the title of your post to something more precise because there is no ongoing outage and I didn't want to unnecessarily alarm or confuse other customers.

Since you are using a free subdomain, your site would have been back online within a few hours of the DoS attack.

Your site is not down. It is up and running and I can visit it. I have posted a screenshot below to show you what I see when I go to your site. I would also be grateful if others could visit the site and let us know if it is up for them.

It would also be helpful if you could post a screenshot of what you see when you go to your site, and also let us know your geographic location. My feeling is that whatever problem you are experiencing is unrelated to any Yola outage, but we would like to get to the bottom of the issue.

I could send you a picture of a blank page but this would seem childish, but this is the image I get from my yolasite and have done since 'The Outage'
I appreciate your efforts however my problems still exists, for now an eternity and all I seem to get is well we can see your site !

Hi Paradise,

I have looked up your site and I am also able to see it.

I think the issue might be that your browser is still referencing old site information it has saved when you type in your URL. It does this so that it doesn't have to download all the information again the next time you visit the same site, and can then load the page faster. It stores this information in a "cache"-

Take a look at this link on clearing your browsers cache and please tell me if the problem persists - http://www.google.com/support/account...

Thanks!
Jackie

Hello Paradise

Have you been able to try Jackie's suggestion to clear the cache in your browser? Please let us know how this goes for you.

Hi paradise

If you are only seeing a blank screen could you list the following:

1) The different browsers and browser versions you have tried to view your site in?
2) How many different computers you have tried?
3) If you have tried from different network environments?
4) If your friends or site visitors are also reporting your site being down.

I understand that this is frustrating and our additional questions may seem annoying, but we would very much like to find out what the issue is, but we are wholly dependent on you to give us as much information as possible because no one on our end is able to replicate the problem.

Please work with us to help you on this.

Another bit of helpful advice if you think your site is down.

Visit this site and type in the URL of your website: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com

The website will then let you know if the site is down for "everyone" or "just you."

Of course we want you to be able to view your own site, but we hope it will provide some level of reassurance if you can confirm that others are indeed able to view your site.

Hi, Paradise,

I am seeing the same as Monique above.

This is puzzling. Can you post a snapshot of exactly what you are seeing? Also, please let us know the following:

1) browser and version you are using
2) Windows version or Mac OS you are using
3) if you've tried clearing your cache
4) Are you typing in your actual url at the top of the browser or putting it in a Google search?

Thanks for working through this with us.

Hello Paradise

Are you saying that the screenshot above that Diane posted it not the site you expected to see?

Please do send us a screenshot of what you do see. Here's how:

When you are on the screen you want to capture, press shift and the printscreen button together. The picture will be saved to your computer clipboard. After you press printscreen, open a program like Microsoft Paint, right click and paste. This should paste the screenshot and you should then be able to save it as a .jpeg file and upload it to the forum.

Hello Paradise,

It sounds as though the screen shots my colleagues have listed above are not showing the site you have created, is that correct? Please share a screenshot of what you see in your sitebuilder. Here are guidelines for doing so:

When you are on the screen you want to capture, press shift and the printscreen button together. The picture will be saved to your computer clipboard. After you press printscreen, open a program like Microsoft Paint, right click and paste. This should paste the screenshot and you should then be able to save it as a .jpeg file and attach it to to your post on here.

Also, please verify that the URL you are sharing with us is the one that your site is published to.

We are eager to resolve this with you.

Hello paradise

Thank you again for your continued patience. I would like to look up your account details so that we can get to the bottom of this. Can you please email support@yola.com with your account information as I don't want this disclosed on a public forum.

Thanks!
